Very convenient hotel location that is happily a very nice hotel. The room was large (by San Francisco standards) and modern. The room windows are small but the room was very nice. The room had a small refrigerator but no mini bar. The staff was friendly and efficient, thank you.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Orchard Garden . It's about a minute (walking) to China Town and easily accessible to many of the key tourist areas. The hotel itself is excellent and the staff are very friendly and helpful.
A very clean room/hotel that is situated near Chinatown, Union Sq.,Transit,Market Street. The staff was also very friendly. A pool would have been nice or some other kind of recreation but not necessary as you will be doing lots of walking. Definitely will stay here again next time we are in SF
Very comfortable room and bed. The staff was very friendly. Location is super. You can walk Union Square and some shops easily. There are many parking places around. Dragon Gate is just nearby. You can walk to Chinese Town.
The room was really comfortable, the bed one of the most comfortable I've slept in and I travel a lot for work! I didn't try the breakfast so can't comment. Fantastic location on the edge of Chinatown.
The time went quickly. We enjoyed the stay at Orchard Garden from the first moment. The location is ideal for sightseeing. The room service was top. The people were very friendly and helpful. Thank you so much!
The little restaurant in the first floor of the hotel is really good,by the way the hotel is close to the china town,so it's convenient for us to having a tour or buying something, last but not least, the service attitude is really good.
Best customer service I've had at a hotel in over 15 years. The front desk manager Anthony took time to address all my questions and made me feel like the only guest in the place. Well worth the cost.
Next to Dragon Gate and located in the place easy to find. Ecology friendly hotel and sophisticated interior and also friendly staffs. This hotel has become one of my list in San Francisco. You should try for your next trip.
We stayed in Room #405 on Aug 4-6, 2017. The room itself was clean and nice, but the room size was very, very small. The TV remote did not work very well - the batteries were not the problem. It was very convenient and fast to go from the lobby doors up to our room. There were enough nice towels in the bathroom. The coffee maker was not a very good quality one for a boutique hotel, and I would have preferred a 12 cup coffee maker with complimentary Starbucks coffee. Overall, we did not have a problem with this hotel, nor the location, but I would probably try something different next time.
The hotel is right downtown next to China Town Dragon Gate and Union Square, had a comfortable bed, great linen, env friendly with separated bins and large soap dispensers, has a spacious bathroom, and a very effective AC. Would be happy to stay here again at the almost 40% discounted rate I received booking a last minute deal for the same night.
Orchard Garden is a boutique like hotel with a great location, wonderful staff and reasonably priced. Clean rooms, environmentally oriented, nicely decorated. Check in and out was seamless and expeditious.
Staff friendly, helpful. Very clean. Steps to Dragon's Gate, walking distance to Union Square, shopping. Only drawback is the no vending machines, ice not working, restaurant limited hours. Try Irish Bank Restaurant across the street. And, Roxanne's walking distance.
Place was peaceful during our 3 days stay, although hotel was fully booked. Room was nice and impeccably maintained. Front desk was accommodating to receive a parcel on my behalf and managed my check-in smoothly despite a deficiency in my credit card.
Staff was very courteous and professional. Almost limitless places to eat like the Cafe de la Press right across the street. The historic gate to Chinatown is literally next door. Rooms are fine, good staff support. $350 plus per night.
Friend visiting for work and we met up for a visit. Everything was fine: good location, nice staff, comfortable rooms. Nothing special except deck for pre-dinner drink. Windy but we were in San Francisco and the view was nice.
My first visit to Orchard Garden Hotel has been good. The hotel is small and perfectly located near Union Square, Chinatown, and lots of restaurants and shopping. It touts itself and the greenest hotel in the city. The spacious and well-appointed bathroom makes up for the slightly cramped room. Rooms on the street side are NOISY! A convenient small refrigerator in the room is helpful, but it also is noisy. The workings of the TV and the air conditioning are a bit tricky, I had to call the front desk to figure it out. Minimal electric outlets in the room makes charging several devices at once a challenge. Front desk staff have been very friendly. The TV channel selection is a bit slim - no movie channels, no HGTV, how will I get my fix of Property Brothers?
Was only there two nights for a business trip, but it was conveniently located. The room was clean and all of the furniture was new and in good condition. The bed and bedding were very comfortable. I really appreciated that the shower was stocked with refillable bottles rather than disposable travel size. Would recommend this hotel to others visiting San Francisco. The street noise was very tolerable, however, the walls must be quite thin as one night I heard two guests in a nearby room having a conversation in normal speaking voices and it sounded like they were in my room!
There are so many superlatives I could use to describe this hotel, but in the interest of brevity, I'll summarize. Check-in/check-out...seamless. Personnel...flawless. Design...subtle. Location...unparalleled. Dining...copious, nearby. Transportation...fluid. Bedroom...great bed, large bathroom with a real tub, in-room coffee and fridge for your use. Quiet toward back of hotel. Perk...rooftop terrace with tables. I did some stretching up there after the San Francisco Marathon. There is also a fitness room with treadmill and stationary bike. My only recommendation for the hotel is to boost wi-fi signal on the terrace roof and perhaps add some shading there also. Thank you Orchard Garden...you are a Gem!
