Stayed here for 2 nights at end of US holiday. Expensive for what it is, but this is standard problem in SF. Hotel is very clean and staff are very friendly. 8-10 min walk from Montgomery BART. Right next door to Chinatown entrance. Great for getting around as easy to walk most places from here and close to restaurants etc. Rooms just right for stay as base, clean, nice bathrooms and good wifi. Had room at back, so no noise. Roof garden is small and not great deal of use, but imagine nice if you buy breakfast out and eat it up there. Would def stay again.
Excellent room and friendly staff, everything about this place was A+ Very clean and well-maintained, comfortable bed, good air conditioning, great towels. Really, everything was perfect, even the turn down chocolates were first class.
First time staying here due to other hotels being booked. Overall had a good stay/experience. Rooms are very clean and quiet. Great location. I would stay here again. Carpet in guestroom hallways needs replacement. Also, when I asked the front desk if they could spare an additional water for the room they looked at me like I had three heads and said only 1 per stay. Every hotel I've been at will provide a water if you ask. This is not where you want to cut corners.
Last minute purchase literally on the night of the stay. Take note not to get dropped off at the Orchard Hotel (665 Bush St) like I did, otherwise you would have to walk downhill two streets down with your suitcase. Stayed 1 night with a room facing the road which was surprisingly quiet, and a large (stayed at Zepplin previously) room for San Francisco given the price paid. If pushed to give a negative feedback on the stay, it would be the antiquated flatscreen TV which was a little fuzzy. Pros: - Thoroughly enjoyed the stay and the bed was super comfortable ! - 5-10 mins away from Union Sq, cafes, diners and convenience stores - Free Wifi.
Correspondence of reception was good, too In a clean room I was relieved to stay Staff are kindly responsible for the city of San Francisco You tell me where I am safe, dangerous They also told us the recommended spots etc. Also, I was relieved to have some Japanese speaking staff
The hotel is low-key, especially compared to many others in the area. But that's definitely part of its charm. The location is great: on Bush, just steps from the entrance to Chinatown and only a short walk to Union Square and other points of interest. We had a room on the highest floor (10) away from the street, and it was peacefully quiet. The room was very nicely decorated with soothing colors and lovely bed linen. Great pillows and comfy bed as well. Everything was clean and well maintained. The room wasn't large, but there was plenty of space for the King bed, a small closet (with iron, ironing board, and plush bathrobes), a small desk, and windows along one wall. The bathroom was good sized and had plenty of towels. There's a breakfast restaurant on the ground floor (breakfast not included) which was OK, but nothing special. Also, the espresso machine was broken, too bad. This restaurant used to be called Roots years ago, but has now closed, also too bad. Otherwise, it's a very nice hotel in a great location.
The hotel was clean and front desk personnel were extremely friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel. The best compliment is that I would stay here again. The room was comfortable. The hotel is located next to Chinatown so we are some great food.
The location is great for access to the financial district. Plenty of bars and restaurants within 5 minutes walk. Less then 10 minute walk to subway. Literally next door to the Dragon Gate and Chinatown. The hotel is a little dated and the restaurant is only open for breakfast.
I was here on business from Oregon - great location, a few blocks from work and the BART - beautiful place - well appointed - nice folks - would stay here again whether business or pleasure - a beautiful hotel in a beautiful city - the weather was great for 3 days - another plus
Great hotel, centrally located to everything. Literally right next door to the gate to China Town. Staff was very helpful. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Rooftop Garden was a great getaway in the evening for wine/cheese to end the day. ould definitely stay here again.
This hotel is next to the gate to Chinatown, which has great restaurants. The hotel feels brand new. It has the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in in a hotel, and the staff is extremely helpful, but not obtrusive.
This is a great boutique hotel, I've stayed there 3 times and it's located in a great area. The staff is friendly, the rooms are nice and the price is reasonable. My trips have been for business so it's located not too far from our office, but I plan to stay here on personal trips.
Lovely and clean. The staff were friendly and it is located right next to the dragon gate into China town. I would recommend staying here for business or pleasure. The rooms were nice and quiet and the bed was comfortable.
I stayed here while attending a conference at the Moscone Center. It has everything a business hotel should have: clean and spacious rooms, desk space to work, strong wifi, full breakfast available on-site, easy accessibility to public transportation I would strongly recommend this hotel to my work colleagues and stay here again when visiting.
Good location. Good service. I had the corner room, which was very good and clean.
2 night stay in San Francisco at Orchard Garden Hotel, it was very expensive for the room we got however 4* hotels generally cost a fortune in San Fran (and don't get me started on the cost of parking...). Clean rooms, good wifi and central location We found our own parking round the block instead of using the vallet parking offered by the hotel which was quite expensive. Generally it is much easier to find a cheaper parking in San Fran for a few days while taking Uber around the city is cheap and works very smoothly. The front desk at the hotel was friendly and there 24/7, also we got very helpful suggestions for sightseeing around San Fran (helped us check the Alcatraz tours availability)
The Orchard Garden Hotel is very nice with clean, comfortable rooms and a small, but nice rooftop garden. The location is on the edge of the financial district and China Town. Everything is walkable from here from Market Street and the Ferry Building to (a little longer) Fisherman's Wharf and Little Italy.
We stayed here for two nights and had a pleasant stay. The room was quiet which is great when staying in a city, yet the hotel was in a good location - right next to Chinatown and near the tram routes giving easy access to Fishermans Wharf. Room was clean and decor was in good condition. Helpful staff too.
