Great experience! In my first week in town, I've gone back twice so far. The margaritas are wonderful, the food is great, and the service is stellar. The steak on the fajitas was the perfect medium that one would expect without being overlooked, and the queso fundido with chorizo was the right temp and properly stringy. I will be back.
Real authentic mexican food, one of my favorite go to restaurants when I'm unsure what I want for dinner
Great food and service
A gem buried in a quiet neighborhood.
First time we went there my wife was pregnant . Today our son is 5 and we took him with us of course. Glad to see that what we remember most (friendly, prompt service, nice decor, and good food) have not changed. Fresh chips and salsa to start (free), added some guacamole and made it perfect . The fish dish my wife picked was great (pescado empapelado). Yes, the lower section is dark (it's the cantina section after all) but you can choose upper or outside (unless it's full, of course). Only concern I had today was that the meat on the chicken taco my son asked for felt a bit tough, as if it had been seating for a while, buy maybe it was in part due to his taking long to eat, so the food cooled off and the cheese hardened. The margarita was tasty, but it could use a stronger kick, that's another point that I'd make a point of checking next time, as I can't stand it when places sell you short on the quality or quantity of the liquor. Overall still strong recommend, and will go again. The fact that they've been there for so many years is a testament to how good the place is, here's to hoping they don't slack.
Delicious spot in starved for business North Cambridge
Very good mole colorado, well made and authentic tamales; real, good, Mexican food
As this was a return visit we tried a few new dishes to us. The drinks are amazing, the new discovery was that the fish dishes (whilst good) are not as exceptional as the meat dishes. So I learnt to order meat at Jose's
Authentic tamales and great margaritas. Salsa and guac are both yummy. Fun atmosphere, excellent parking. Small portions, so order wisely.
Been here before menu has changed a little. But still loved it true Mexican atmustfer. 🖒🖒
Loved their vegetarian options for Turkish food. Small quaint place.
It was a short walk from where we were staying for the night. We were seated right away with chips and salsa. It felt a little cramped but not that bad. Cozy might be a better way to describe. The food was tasty and the portions were just right. Not sure if they take reservations but it did fill up after we arrived which was before 7pm in the evening.
Nice neighborhood spot. Free parking
Great food. Nice local place. Recent menu change threw me off a little though. Couldn't find what I'd ordered before.
Excellent food, super casual, nice ambience, great margaritas!
This place is a hidden find for Mexican food. The best way to get there is Uber or by 83 bus from Porter Square. The food is authentic Mexican, I love their nachos and salsa (muy picante), their fajitas are sizzling and sure to fill your stomach, top it off with a pitcher of magarittaaa
Delicious, fresh, standard fare in a fun, funky joint. Good drinks. Excellent, friendly service. Lunch is a bargain.
This was the best Mexican food I've had in years. The guacamole is to die for and the Tortilla chips were freshly fried. Highly recommend!
