One of the best BBQ places in Texas!!! Beef Ribs are amazing!!!
Second stop on our Central Texas BBQ Trail. Had the beef rib, it melted in your mouth and was moist and jucy, well worth the price and feed four of us with no problem. A little on the peppery side (9 part pepper 1 part salt) you won't be dissapointed definitely will be back.
We visited for lunch yesterday, and had a little of everything: brisket, turkey, pulled pork. It was all outstanding, but the pulled pork was my favorite. Loved the burnt ends, too. Cole slaw needed a kick of vinegar, but the potato salad made up for it. Great atmosphere and service. We will be back!
Chicken was good, they ran out of pork
Wow, well worth the drive for some amazing brisket. In a charming little town called Taylor that is fun to walk around after dinner. Small town barbecue perfection!
Texas BBQ Mecca! Make the pilgrimage! Beef rib. Moist. 1 link.
Awesome brisket. I always go here to be reminded how real bbq should taste.
There's a reason this joint consistently ranks 1st or 2nd in Texas Monthly's BBQ ratings. It's is by far the best BBQ in Texas and therefore the World. Highest rating on my book for beef ribs, brisket and, my favorite, Jalapeno Sausage. In my mind I've only had one place that comes clise to beating them on baby back ribs, and that is Hammond's in Glen Rose. Louie's is the best.
Loved the moist brisket and slightly spicy sausage, and the touch of cinnamon in the banana pudding was a nice twist. I'm glad the brisket didn't need any enhancement because the BBQ sauce was pretty tasteless.
The best BBQ!
Awesome brisket, tender and moist eith a cracked pepper crust. Not even a bad line gor a weekday lunch.
Love the brisket and potato salad!
I have sat at the highest altar of Texas Barbecue and come away sated. Mmmm
Yummy as ever! Had pork ribs, sausage and my all time favorite, moist brisket 😄 Oh and of course, hands down one of the best potato salads!
First time there. Loved it.
Off the hook....outstanding
It ranks in the top for a good BBQ, no doubt. But it's too pricey for comparable meat at other BBQ that I've had. I believe you are paying for the experience based on their numerous tv shows and articles that they have been featured in. It's a cool place but there are lot of other places just as neat and just as good or better. I'd eat there again if in the area. We had a 2lb beef rib, which was tender and moist, some moist brisket which was good but a bit too much fat left on it, even for the moist cut, some smoked Turkey which was no better or worse than most Bbq places and a slice of jalapeno sausage, which also was pretty normal for Bbq joints, potato salad was just potato salad, nothing special. We also had the pinto beans and they were a cut above. Spicy, thick sauce with chunks of meat. They have 2 sauces but automatically only put the thin sauce on your tray. We had to ask if they had any other type of sauce and was given a thicker, more tangy as well. Overall I gave it a 4 because it is good, just not extraordinary.
Without a doubt, they serve the best beef rib I've EVER had. The moist brisket? Phenomenal. And even the potato salad was on point. If you're heading to Central Texas, Louie Mueller definitely should be on you must-visit list...
The ribs were worth the 1800 mile journey from NJ. I've never had anything like them..... EVER!!
Fantastic brisket and super friendly staff! Good old town bbq feel spot! Great sides of potato salad and slaw. Chicken basket was a great get also. Runny but tasty BBQ sauce. Lots of indoor picnic tables. Awesome merch and no line Monday afternoon. CC accepted. Lots of parking in lot outside. Decent jalapeño sausage. Definitely worth the trip!
