Food was great and service!!! I will most definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who looking for a great place to eat!
We did the Sunday Buffett Brunch which was $30 and included 2 Mimosas. It also included greens, mac n cheese, fried catfish, fried chicken, eggs, grits, sausage, salad, fruit, biscuits, gravy, vegetable lasagna and even a cook making your own personal, fresh, and hot waffles and omelette. Parking was free on the street or $10 in a lot. It's literally less than 5 minutes from Greektown and less than 10 minutes from the Riverfront. Great staff as well!
The food was amazing good and delicious.... The service was great, friendly and great jazz music
This place is awesome, very clean and have enough space for people to sit and enjoy their food and drinks. I would love to recommend people to go there at Detroit Seafood Market in Detroit! 😊😊😊
Food is excellent, so is the service. I went for brunch and cannot complain about the food. Catfish and waffles were amazing but my favorite was probably the hashbrowns and green beans.
My wife and I went to the seafood Market for happy hour apps. The place was not busy but it was early on a Monday. Service was attentive, after a drink we ordered the shrimp appetizer. Fresh, plentiful. Ordered another app, same. Food arrival was a bit slow. I would definitely return for dinner.
Good service, good food and a lounge connected next door.
I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant. The fact that it was crowded on a Monday is a true testament of good it is. My hubby & I opted for the three course meal. I picked the steak and she picked the fish. We shared a portion of our meals for a little surf & turf combo. We ordered sidecars for a cocktail which was made to perfection, we will be back!
Great food. We just had the appetizers and it was plenty. Catfish nuggets are awesome
Everything is fantasticly fresh and delicious. Service is the exactly correct amount of attentive: always there when you need them, but not overbearing. Only thing I might suggest is going easy on the sugary sauce in the "Kari Out" calimari. It bogs down the wonderfully crunchy yet tender texture of the squid. But having such a brilliantly thought out establishment in Downtown Detroit uplifts the city as a whole
Sister took me here for an early dinner we went much earlier than our reservation and she wanted to squeeze in...apparently this is a happening place and if you don't have a reservation there is not a good chance of getting in during the rush. After taking a look at the menu I was somewhat skeptical as I didn't quite see anything that jumped out at me so I let her just order everything for the both of us and we'd split it all. Let me tell you...her choices were on point! We started with the Yellowfin Tuna with some spinach dip and it was fantastic. It honestly looked a little fishy (see what I did there) but once we started digging into it the flavor was amazing. Next we ordered two fried Lobster tails which I thought were going to come out like soggy but it was literally chunk lobster with a breading. Again...not what I would have normally ordered but turned out really good. Finally we finished with the fried chicken sandwich. By this time we were both getting full and half of this sandwich was just what we needed to top it off. It sounds silly to say but the fried chicken sandwich at a seafood restaurant was legit. We had already eaten two seafood dishes so I didn't feel so bad...and come on, you can't go wrong with fried food. All in all this was a really good place to eat and since we went right when they opened for dinner we were able to sneak in without a reservation. Definitely a successful dinner in my book!
My experience at Detroit Seafood Market was Fair. I went for a girls day out the service was good and the drinks were amazing (STRONG). They had a rule that I didn't agree with which was you can only get half off drink if you drink and dine at the bar. I'm a paying customer with a party of 9 and we like to drink (lol) everyone enjoyed the food but me I had beef ribs that taste like a roast (odd right) so I sent it back and had more drinks instead. Everyone was really nice and accommodating. The location is in the heart of Downtown (good luck finding parking, especially on game day. Go Tigers!) The restaurant was very relaxed and had live entertainment which was nice. I would recommend to a friend.
Food was good. Customer service was not too good!
In one word, the experience was wonderful. We came to Detroit for a concert in beautiful Comerica Park, but what will have me coming back is the experience I had at the Detroit Seafood Market. We all had absolutely wonderful entrées, but what really stole the show for me was the fried calamari appetizer. I don't think I've ever had such well prepared calamari in my life. The service was very warm and friendly. We came at an off hour and even the chef we bumped into on the way in greeted us warmly. I loved the huge glass windows which let in plenty of natural light. Even the creak to the wooden floors added to the charm. I cannot wait to go back to try more things on the menu. Especially that calamari!
Visited Detroit Seafood Market and really enjoyed the food. It's a beautiful restaurant with great food. Our waiter, Dante, was top notch and friendly. Great choice for dining.
We were greeted with smiling faces at the door. Although our group had 10 people, we were seated in about fifteen minuets as staff promised. Drinks, food and service made it a great experience.
My wife and I had a amazing lunch experience on Friday, 7/7. The service/waiter was outstanding, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. We had delicious apps (Calimari and Clam Chowder) and lunch was outstanding with perfect portions and flavors. I had the Blackened Chicken Pasta and my wife had the Salmon Salad. We both thoroughly enjoyed the food, peaceful atmosphere, and excellent service. I believe the server's name was Donte, I may be wrong, but he was great. We will definitely return for dinner to check out the dinner, entertainment, and beverages.
Went her for my husband's birthday, food delicious, nice atmosphere and friendly staff!
Good and service was excellent! King Crab, Lobster mac n cheese with vegetable medley! Wife loved the drink try to get her tipsy!
