The food is amazing everytime I go there. It my favorite restaurant in San Francisco, and I love taking people who come to visit there. High class atmosphere, and premier food.
Always a great stop for drinks and dinner when visiting San Francisco.
From the moment when walked in we had great service from the host, the Bar to the server and busser. The food was very good and the ambiance was very nice.
The Prime Rib was excellent, kind of a local hangout, fun though. I would go back.
Favorite neighborhood spot to round out a night out - quiet, cozy, and perfect menu for a late bite and night cap.
We were staying at the Coventry inn on Lombard street, this place is only a few feet away. What a little gem, very small but great atmosphere. Very good menu and food, excellent staff. Low level jazz music in the back ground what more could you ask for. Large wine, beer and drinks selection. Highly reminded if you are in the area
Great place, do stop in and see them, serve late, food outstanding and the barmen are possibly the best in SF.
I had one of the best steaks Ive ever had in my life at Brazen Head! Wonderful service, a comfortable setting with a bar, and excellent top of line food!
Great hidden gem. Mostly a local hang out. Dark and intimate.
Small intimate restaurant/bar. Eddie the bartender is knowledgable and friendly with great recommendations. The fillet Mignon was perfect and the French Onion Soup rivals though I've had in top restaurants in Paris. A must visit!!!
Best place that isn't well known excellent food, service, atmosphere, and lost a iPhone 7 there and recovered it well after closing by my waitress.
We had two meals in this restaurant and enjoyed them both. The staff are very helpful and the food was excellent with a good selection of drinks. We eat at night so the atmosphere was very dark, romantic and inviting!! All in all an excellent out of the way place to have a meal if you are staying near Lombard Street.
Wonderful food, good ambience
We have been going to the Brazen Head for 20+ years. It was my local bar when I lived in San Francisco. We dined there last night and it was so great to see some familiar faces among the staff. They serve bistro type food; great apps, soups, salads, and entree's. It is a small intimate place to dine alone or with friends.
Wonderful ambiance, local spot, with delicious, well-prepared & beautifully presented food.
Enter the door of the Brazen Head at the corner of Buchanan and Greenwich streets (there is no outside signage) to be greeted by a friendly, accommodating staff, and ready yourself for a memorable dinner at a reasonable price. Dimly lit with dark wood paneling, the atmosphere feels almost Disneyesque, except for the fact Brazen Head is real, not imaginary. Some have said the escargot is likely the best they've experienced anywhere in the world, with apologies to Andrew Simmern and Anthony Bourdain. Simply baked in garlic butter and parsley, Brazen Head foregoes the pesky, useless bread crumb topping used by so many, to leave you with an exquisite pool of bread dipping nectar after consuming the snails. Beef is the star here, offering roasted, boneless 10-ounce rib eye with sides ($33 as of this writing), a 10-ounce filet mignon ($35), and a 12-ounce New York pepper steak (($30). Street parking is tight, and public parking garages are a few blocks away. Pull into the retro Motel Capri across the street from Brazen Head and ask for parking. The most recently parking fee of $10 seems well worth the convenience.
Low lights, very intimate. Delicious food and amazing Moscow Mule. I couldn't have just one! Nice selection of wines. Great location, near Lombard Street.
Overall fantastic! Everyone was helpful in 'showing us around' SF and the food was excellent! If you like unique settings with great food/people, this is the place for you. Highly recommended!
don't tell anyone... our lyft driver gave us the tip. no sign out front, what does that say? Didn't even know it was a restaurant. Only the locals?
