The Plaza Cafe Downtown is Santa Fe’s oldest restaurant, serving delicious, globally-inspired breakfast, lunch and dinner in an old-school diner atmosphere. Our historic diner is conveniently located in downtown Santa Fe in the same location we started at in 1905. We proudly offer locals and visitors alike an authentic New Mexican dining experience.

Don't let the name fool you. I almost opted for another restaurant, because I couldn't imagine a place with New Mexican cuisine could be called a "cafe." And, it is right on the plaza, so I expected it to be a touristy place. I assure you, walk right...
As the weather moves from summer to fall and into winter nothing tastes better than a good tortilla soup. It's a nice diner with a good menu
Had a great BLT, good beverages, good service. Staff agreeably split our sandwich to match small appetites, and the retro environment of a 1940'sudden dinner was fun, yet immaculately clean. What a great spot in Santa Fe! Try it.
