Fantastic. You cannot miss out on this experience.
So yummy. And the best service. Love this spot.
nice place, good food and around my house love it...
Service was poor. And the food was bland. Very disappointed
Welcoming staff and owner. Went here for my mom birthday, 20+ people and everyone including myself enjoyed it. They serve a very delicious fresh baked Tandoori chicken, Curries, Lamb, Basmati rice, vegetables, samosas, chutney and a good variety of naan, especially very good garlic naan. All fresh authentic ingredients and delicious! Great location on the corner. Excellent fresh healthy portions. Big fan of the salmon speacial and garlic naan. Oh and the drinks were on point. Message to the owner ...thank you very much for having us. We'll be back soon
Really great food and great environment, had a wonderful time with with family and friends
Stopped by this spacious corner restaurant with bar for lunch. Service, decor and music was good. The mango lassi was ok, too much yogurt, but the rest was the food was very good. For appetizers, had the Coconut and Mulligatawny soups - coconut was ok but mulligatawny was good. Shared the Chicken Tikka Masala and Mixed Vegetables Kurma, alone with Naan with onions - food was really good and tasty. Looking forward to our next visit.
Whenever I'm craving Indian food, this is my to-go place. The staff is friendly and the food is tasty. Everything that comes out of their kitchen doesn't leave me disappointed.
Excellent restaurant in the neighborhood. The service was great and the food delicious.
My husband Denis and I love this restaurant. The staff is very friendly, the food is excellent and the new expansion with the bar is beautiful. Great place, I give it an A+ ( Can you tell I was a teacher?) :)
Went there and got the lunch chicken vindaloo to go. It was spicy the way I like it, and the person on take out was very very nice. Will definitely be going back. Glad I walked pass.
This place was great food and excellent customer service. I had my daughter with me and she was a little antsy, but the staff was so kind to us:) it was a wonderful dinning experience. I would go again for sure!
I am a stickler for Customer Service and at Kismat, the Staff goes the Extra Mile to ensure their customers are treated with the highest level of customer service that starts the moment you walk through the door. Nestled in the beautiful Washington Heights Area their cozy restaurant has sidewalk seating as well as indoor seating and a wide area of delectable dishes to select from the menu. Our server Ahmed was quick to offer suggestions and a detailed explanation of meals that I had no clue what they were but sounded great! The owner Sammi who is from the kitchen to the floor making time for his customers and ensuring all is well was warm, friendly and professional. His beautiful wife was also equally pleasant and professional. I will be posting pics and doing a more detailed review on Trip Advisor so look out for that review but for now go try it for yourself whether you live in the area and haven't been or looking for a superior Indian Restaurant to go to, its a quick train ride on the A to 181st street. BUT call for directions so you won't get lost. They also have weekly specials and a Sunday brunch offering so check those out too! Then let me know what you think too... Enjoy!
We have been coming to Kismat for over 30 years. It is our favorite Indian restaurant. We love the tandoori dinner for 2, or 3 or 4!!! Great food, great people!
Amazing food great service nice atmosphere chef introduced himself an gave details about his dishes everything was magnificent well worth the trip
I've now had three meals at Kismat on Fort Washington and all three were great. Most recently I had a shrimp with asparagus special and it was very good. My friend enjoyed the vegetarian special. The rice was great. We started the meal with vegetarian samosa's which were very tasty. This time we had onion Nan, but the Garlic Nan is good also. The service was excellent.
Absolutely great food, wonderful staff and fast service.
The best service ever. Food is outstanding. Highly recommended. Romantic or family. Take a cab or public transportation. Parking is tough. You can also use the parking at fort tryon park. For FREE and walk to the restaurant.
Solid neighborhood joint for dine-in, take out or delivery Indian food. Always well-prepared, warm and delish. Fair prices and friendly staff make it a great option when I need a cheat day or don't feel like cooking. Highly recommended on the cold winter nights when you want something warm and spicy (or not of course). My favorite is the lamb vindaloo.
I took my daughter to this place after a friend recommended it. There seems to be a dearth of good restaurants in Washington Heights, so I was curious about this place. We were not disappointed and in fact were surprised to see this nicely appointed restaurant offering a wide variety of sophisticated foods. The waiter was helpful with recommendations: We shared a lamb dish (which I had never tasted before) as well as a very succulent Tandoori chicken. Portions were generous and prices were reasonable. I'll return!
