Let's just say that the food and service was so good, that we had dinner here 2 days in a row during our stay in NY. I don't mind paying for something if I'm getting what I paid for, and for what we got, it was worth every penny. The decor along with a live piano performance makes up for a stellar atmosphere. Frankie is the man, and I'm definitely planning on coming back here the next time I'm in NY.
Dined at Campagnola for my wife's birthday. Food was excellent, atmosphere was great and service was top notch. Portions are very generous (couldn't finish) , glad we finally tried this Italian classic just around the corner from our apartment. Can't wait to return!
My wife and I had dinner last night for the first time at Campagnola. The place has a wonderful vibe: super white tablecloths, good lighting, great acoustics that permits conversation while you eat delicious food and listen to soft live piano music even though every table was filled with happy diners. We started with the special chopped salad. My wife had lemon trout that was perfectly prepared and too large a portion to finish. I had a veal chop with mushrooms and onions. Veal chops are one of the specialties of the restaurant and mine was delicious. It was very thick and very large and therefore I ate the whole chop. The service is excellent. Our waiter recognized us from another Upper East Side Italian restaurant that closed four years ago and greeted us like long list relative. We will definitely be back for another meal.
Amazing food, incredible staff and an unforgettable experience!!
Wow what an amazing dinner. Absolutely the best meal I have had in my life and getting a shot of Jamison whiskey with the incredible Frankie D was the the highlight of the night.
Great ambiance, service, food and wine list. Worth every dollar spent. Old school service. That's why they are so successful. The quality of the crowd is high. Will repeat
Fantastic restaurant. Definitely on the more expensive side but the service and quality of food make it worth every penny. Perfect for a special occasion.
Great italian food
Great staff, ambiance, and most importantly, great food. Everything we've had is great but our favs are Bone In Grilled Veal Chop, Veal Milanese, the steaks , all the pastas, seafood, etc. are all delicious.
A trip to NY would not be complete without campagnola! Frankie and the staff are amazing!!!!!
Had a great night at this restaurant. The food was amazing, and for me, the place oozed New York Italian charm. A very memorable meal
I come to NY in August every year for work and this place is always a must for me. I always bring clients and every time folks are impressed. Best Italian food!!! I'll see you guys in a few weeks.
I walked into a crowded bar area to get to the hostess where she greeted me with a smile but when seated i was seated next to the crowded bar. i thought nothing of it until the patrons at the bar started to loud but lucky the manger notice it and got me to a nice quiet corner. I ordered srimp scampi for appetizer it was a little dry and under seasoned. The entree was better I ordered the lamb shank full of flavor. Good place but not great staff is the reason I think highly of this restruant.
Frankie D, George and staff were amazing I their care and attention to our enjoyment
An old school Italian restaurant with amazing food and top notch service. Everything here from the seafood salad to the veal chop to the porterhouse to the lobster are amazing. The only thing we didn't love were the meatballs. The off the menu sausage onions and peppers is also good. The wine list is top notch but pricey. Your best bet is calling for a reservation. We love this place and will continue to return
The staff were extremely Accommodating to our needs and knowledgable re menu choices. The gnocchi was the best I've ever had and the fish was cooked perfectly. It's not cheap and the wine starts at $65 per bottle but it is worth it in terms of quality.
Muy buen restaurant, rapido servicio
One of the best restaurants. Ever.
My ITALIAN Restaurant best ever Sal and Frankie best in the business hope they are still there
Frankie D and the waitstaff welcomed my wife and I, her sister and boyfriend John last Saturday night like we were family. Our waiter ordered for the table beginning with a delicious trilogy of homemade pasta. The Porcini Ravs are heavenly! We continued with savory rib lamp chops, porter house steak for two (or three) along with Dover sole. Do not miss their dessert and outstanding espresso. If we lived in NYC we'd be regulars. Thank you...we will be back later this summer.
