Great Peruvian restaurant with great seafood menu. Excellent dining experience.
Delicious lomo saltado. Thank you, friends!
The pisco sour was superb! We ordered the short ribs appetizer, which was absolutely delicious. A lovely atmosphere and outstanding service made for a great night out in DC.
Food and service are both great but you won’t be satisfied if you come hungry.
Nazca Mochica, La presente comunicación es para felicitarlo e informarle que usted -empresa-, ha quedado finalista del Premio Gala Perú DC 2017. Felicitaciones! Claudia Weiss Fundador
Nazca is a modern inspired take on Peruvian food. The staff were warm and welcoming. The food was delicious. We tried a bottle of Peruvian rose (I forget the brand), which was fine, but not exceptional. Causita, cebiche and lomo saltado were all excellent.
I came here for an early dinner on a Wednesday night with a friend. The interior decor is very cool and the host and hostess were extremely nice. We opted for a table outside, and ordered two pisco drinks which were very good. From 5pm to 7pm, they have a fixed price menu that is 3 courses for $35. It's a really good deal. I got the causitas, lamb, and cookies- all of which were incredible. The two of us also shared their most popular ceviche that was incredible as well, and filled with fish even though we just got a half portion. The food is unique and the ambiance is great. I can't recommend this spot enough.
What a fantastic experience! Food is amazing and service is excellent!
Seafood dishes are awesome! But avoid beef and lamb dishes... very salty... not tasty... and expensive.
A friend took us to Nazca Mochica for dinner. Our group of 6 ordered various dishes and they were all great. They offer a Pre-Theater Prix-Fixe Menu for $35 (Appetizer, Main Course and Dessert). I had the Lomo Saltado -$24- and it was very good. The desserts were a bit too sweet for us.
Great food but a tad salty. Very friendly and helpful staff.
First time in the US I ate a ceviche that really looks and tastes like the ones I used to enjoy back at home.
The food was excellent! My daughter had been in Peru , she loved the food !!
Delicious Peruvian dishes and great service. I had the pollo saltado and would order it again, no question.
My first time trying Peruvian and OMG pure love!!!!!!
After having a rather amazing Peruvian food experience a couple years ago, I've been hoping to relive it. On a weekend venture to DC with my GF, we were trying to decide what to eat on Saturday night. If you don't know Washington, let tell you it is foodie paradise. YAY, right? Well, the downside of that is simply... making a choice as to where & what to eat! It really is dizzying. After some thought, I figured. out there might be good Peruvian in DC so it didn't take long to arrive at the decision to visit Nazca Mochica- as it is near DuPont Circle, and not too far from our hotel- also in the vicinity. We kind of ate our way around the menu, beginning with causitas, then Cebiche Mixto to get us started, along with our Pisco Sour & Cucumber Chilcano. From the entree menu she had the Lomo Saltado- a beef tenderloin dish, and I had the octopus- Pulpo a la Parrila. Both were well prepared, tho the tenderloin dish is almost like a stir-fry, and the Octopus was one tentacle, so not quite a "small plate" offering. However, after the food and drinks, I didn't want a massive entree, so it was perfect. I sampled the tenderloin and it was well prepared as well... Having, finally, split the Lucuma Tiramisu for dessert... we basically ate our way around the entire menu and came away deeply satisfied and happy with our choice of Nazca Mochica. The service was better than just good, and the place has a nice ambience. We were also pleasantly surprised to find that the chef, after two drinks each and a full round of menu items.... did NOT require us taking out a 2nd mortgage! So on top of it being very enjoyable, Nazca Mochica was also very reasonable in price. All in all- between the food, the drinks, the general vibe & atmosphere, and the service, we had a VERY nice time at this little restaurant that isn't quite so obvious & in-your-face as many other places in DC.
Went here for a large group (50 people) dinner. The service and food were fantastic. Definitely recommend the lamb.
Ever since being to Peru a few years ago, I always go out of my way when I am traveling to find a good Peruvian restaurant. I found myself in DC for work and knew that I had to stop here for a meal. I tried lunch here and was not disappointed. The staff is friendly and courteous. The food tasted fairly authentic from my travels throughout Peru. The decor is interesting, with tiles on the ceiling of the Nazca lines. The menu isn't very extensive, with a small handful of items for lunch, but what I had was good and would recommend.
Lomo saltado, pisco and Inca kola Good service, nice people
Great selection of Peruvian fare - a touch expensive
