small but adequate and friendly, the lobster rolls are food perfection, came highly recommended and did not disappoint. They only serve cold drinks from the chiller, you can bring your own alcohol but won't get a coffee or tea
We chanced upon this place whilst walking back from the Boston Tea Party Experience towards Quincy Market on 7 October. We wondered why this little shack had a huge queue out of the door with people arriving all the time? We joined the queue and bought some food. Two big bowls of chowder and some crab cakes. The food was great. Do not be put off by the little shack. This was a very surprising find. Would gladly revisit.
Pricey but delicious
Best Lobster Roll on the planet and the Clam Chowder is second to none... You can't go wrong!
The large lobster roll was overflowing with lobster.
Amazing.... Loved it can't wait for my next visit. Boston is a wonderful city
Great food, outside seating, lobster roll excellent!
Working in Boston for work and was looking for some good seafood and heard about this place. I got the Clam Chowder and Lobster Roll. This will be my go-to place for seafood. The only criticism I had was the service (since the food was so good, it still deserved a 5 star). There wasn't enough people there to handle the orders and lines form up really quickly! You guys need to hire more counter people! Still coming back though!
Fantastic lobster roll. Great little place and it’s all about the food. They don’t serve alcoholic drinks but you can bring with you - so do!
Freshest of the fresh food from the Sea..♡ Chef recommended!
The lobster rolls were perfect! Wish I had time to go back and try lobster bisque or lived close enough to purchase fresh fish.
A large queue was a sign that the meal was worth waiting for. We sat outside with our lobster rolls and enjoyed the Boston harbour experience.
Ottimo panino all'aragosta. Assolutamente da provare. Prezzo onesto. Posizione centrale. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo.
This is a "must" place to visit when in Boston. It is a convenient walk from the Intercontinental Hotel, and will always deliver wonderful, fresh food for a reasonable price (given that you are eating lobster)! Be advised that this is not a fancy restaurant, but a walk up "seafood shack" with a few tables inside and picnic benches outside. But do not let that deter you, because you will have a great Lobster Roll. I am looking forward to trying the chowder on my next visit.
Close walk from our Hilton hotel to the wharf and James Hook. Great lobster roll! Small seating area inside. Outside tables to eat on. Lobster on the roll was big chunks and light on the mayo. Yummy!
Fresh and delicious!!
This place came through for us in a pinch. Like most tourists, we had a tight schedule on our trip. The place we originally picked for lunch before our boat tour was inexplicably closed. We had to find something fast. A quick internet search led us to James Hook and we were not disappointed! Seafood soups, lobster rolls, stuffed clams and more. We left completely satisfied and made our boat on time.
The hotel reccomended this place to eat lobster. It does not look like much from the outside, but the food was fantastic and well worth it, if you are ok sitting onthe patio andf eating with plastic forks.
Buen precio. El lobster roll a 19 USD
