We have been coming here for years and are never disappointed. The food is well prepared and presented beautifully. The service is enthusiastic and thoughtful.
This is such a hidden gem! I thoroughly enjoyed my visit today for lunch and can't wait to come back. Most of the tables had at least one order of their beautiful and generous chirashi bowls but I ordered a-la-carte. I did not get my Chef's name but he was friendly and wonderful to dine with at the sushi bar. I am newer to sushi and still figuring out what I like, Chef made the experience less intimidating. I ordered blue fin tuna, kanpachi, red snapper, albacore, aji, sea eel and tamago to finish. Every bite was delicious and I enjoyed the toothsome and meaty red snapper most. The quality of the fish was as fresh as I have ever had. The Chef also gave me a small plate of fresh grapes after the meal that were sweet, like juicy candies. I often take pictures of the food I eat but was so caught up in the experience I completely forgot. I'm counting the days I can come back - next time I will try their Omakase course! Looking forward to seeing the lovely staff and experiencing some new things!
+ Great quality fish. Authentic feel. Lovely staff. - a tiny bit pricey
Best 🍣 period!
Everything I tried here are delicious!
Great price for real fresh fish. Chirashi was amazing as was the economy sashimi lunch special.
Sushi Go 55 is where I take my beloved people to have an experience. The chefs are amazing. I have been always treated with respect and care. I have come to love to sushi go family. Thank you for a great experience every time after all these years!
I didn't realize this was called Sushi Go 55 lol. Been here before with family some years back. Thought it was just okay. Definitely changed my mind last night with the impeccable service and quality of food. The sushi chef who prepared my meal last night was very meticulous and paid much attentuon to the detail--cut of fish, amount of rice and seasoning. It was much appreciated it. The atmosphere was quaint and welcoming. Dining alone proved quite the experience. Would recommend you try that as well as to have 100% focus on your meal. Aside from dining alone, it's also a great place to bring your date, family or a small group of friends. Would come back here again! Other pointers: -Takes card -Validates parking if you parked at the Little Tokyo Plaza parking structure that is adjacent to the main building.
Really great, fresh, well prepared food. The sushi chef was very friendly and attentive too.
Great traditional sushi. There is seasoning on the sushi, but none of the new heavy sticky sauces.
Amazingly authentic experience I haven’t had since the shibuya district, Master Morishita and his family take true pride in the art of the craft. For an hour today I wasn’t in LA I was in Tokyo.
I loved the sushi and the tempura. The temaki sushi is quite nice since they clearly use very fresh ingredients. Very authentic too. ごちそうさまでした！
Sashimi Roll was one of the best rolls I have ever ever had.....And, I eat a lot of ushi rolls. New favorite restaurant. Will definitely return.
My boyfriend took me for birthday dinner last night. It was so good! I ordered scallop, sea urchin, eel, shrimp, and tuna nigiri. Everything tasted so fresh. We'll definitely come back.
Excellent service, the food was very fresh and amazing
Great sushi and great service. Highly recommend. Located in cute indoor Japanese market area.
Fresh fish, reasonable price
Impressive. Not a normal sushi restaurant...an experience. The food Is really top level
Nothing but quality and excellent execution. Very unassuming place. I definitely dropped some cash on my meal, but it was well worth it. The staff was great, too. This is certainly the best sushi I've had in L.A.
Brilliant composition, plating, and freshness. Service is superb. Arguably among the best sushi restaurants in Los Angeles. The "Two Box" chiroshi is a strong choice for lunch. It comes quickly, is beautiful, and features generous portions of sashimi. The fish variety is great, ranging from toro pieces (expensive belly cuts), to tommogo (homemade sweet omelette). I counted 8 different proteins in my fish box. Garnishes are fantastic and include picked eggplant and masago along with shiso leaf, nori slivers and much more. Highly recommended.
