TJs is our favorite happy hour place in Arlington. Great BBQ in generous portions, great drinks, great prices. Walking distance from Clarendon metro.
Quite good turkey and chicken, but the sides rule! The brussels sprouts are excellent and the corn is outstanding!!
This is a relatively new restaurant making its mark on Arlington. The decor is rustic yet modern and very inviting. The staff is extremely friendly and ready to serve. As for the food, it was juicy and flavorful. The best qualities of barbeque! There was nothing that we ordered that we didn't love. Try the corn, it's not something that I have ever had before. It will not disappoint and neither will the brisket!
Beef brisket worth it. Great happy hour specials as well. Good atmosphere
As someone who grew up enjoying real Texas barbecue prepared by my Texan grandpa, I can confirm that Texas Jack's is the real deal. Great place to take visitors.
Food is amazing!
OMG...the best barbecue in northern VA hands down. We stopped in for happy hour and got the brisket sandwich & pulled pork nachos—brisket was tender and nachos delicious. The DC porter & smoked whiskey sour were perfect accompaniments. Bartender, Mesa, had excellent recommendations. We’ll be back!
Brisket Nachos!! Bites if delish heaven!!
I passed by this placed a millions times before and never stopped. But I'm glad my team decided to go here. The portions are huge and the food was amazing!!
BEST brisket ever!!!
I really dig the rustic atmosphere! The service was excellent. Spot on! The brisket is SOOOO good. You don't need a knife, and it melts in your mouth. The beans rock! Not bland, not too spicy. Just tasty and hearty. The coleslaw is really good too! This is the best BBQ I've had in DC, hands down. Highly recommend it!
Pricy for barbeque but darned tasty with a good beer list.
The Barbecue is pretty good. The beer selection and service is excellent. It can get crowded at times but that is just the testament to good service and food. Free Valet Parking on the day we went. Not sure if that's everyday. I would highly recommend to try at least once. Family friendly too.
Incredible. We can’t recommend Texas Jack’s enough! We made a point of stopping here straight from Reagan airport! The staff is so welcoming and attentive. The manager is super fun to chat with and wonderfully knowledgeable of his products. The kitchen, eating areas and restrooms are very clean. And then there’s the food and drinks. Be ready to be satisfied and full . Texas Jack’s - your fans from Fairbanks Alaska WILL be back. Often.
Talk about a good find - I'm tempted to give a bad review to keep this place private, since it may be my new go-to BBQ spot. We were seated immediately by friendly servers and taken care of well. The food was quick and delicious. We sat on the side that was more restaurant, but may try the more bar-ish side next time. Because there definitely will be a next time...
Been here just once. Best dishes: brisket (they serve the"moist"/point/deckle as an option), ribs Food quality/Consistency/Price: it's slightly expensive, even for barbeque, but completely worth it. This might be the best I've ever had. Generally, with the cuts of meat and cooking method for American bbq, there are some pieces or bites that are better than others: some of the ribs are meatier than others, the point on the brisket vs the flat, the money muscle in a pork butt. Somehow Texas Jack's served us up only those extra good bits, and it was amazing. Granted, I've only been here once 🤷. It's a typical Texas style black pepper forward rub. The sauce is pretty uninspired, and the meat wasn't hot (which is normal but not ideal). Brussel sprouts were good but nothing to write home about. Wait/Atmosphere/Service: we went during an off time, so it was very chill. Nice open space, good service, and comfortable furniture.
Wonderful Brisket!!! Love this place!
