WOW! Loved the garlic pork sausages! Y'all should get some of those! They offer a LOT of great food!
Had the big ole brisket sandwich and it was great.
Always good brisket
The place we stop on our way through.
It seems like they have gone up on their by the pound pricing a little bit, but I could be wrong. The brisket was delicious as always. Their beef sausage is about the only kind I like. Their Cole slaw is also really good. The pepper lime chicken was not good at all. It was way too dry, tasted like chicken in home made chicken soup, was really chalking and had almost no flavor.
Meyer's pork and garlic sausage is amazing! It's by far the best sausage made in Elgin!
Very good food!
Brisket and sausage - now that is what I call the breakfast of champions. You have to love an impromptu car trunk picnic -- since I got there well before Meyer's Elgin Smokehouse opened, just a short walk from Southside Market. Fortunately Meyer's has drive-thru starting at 8am... The brisket was very tasty. But the sausage stole the show! Really good stuff! A worthwhile stop on a Houston to/from Austin road trip, even at breakfast time. BBQ is a breakfast food, right?
Decent bbq and fixings, reasonably priced. Nice clean restaurant, friendly staff.
Great...ask for Hot Guts.
The sliced brisket sandwiches were large and very filling. Had more than I shoulda ate it was so tender and smoky.
Great sausage!! Bought some to freeze as well!!
Always fantastic Texas bbq!
This has been a favorite of ours for 20 years. We used to live down the road from there, and now that we live in Dallas again, we've been know to drive 200 miles just to eat. Excellent food, I highly recommend it. Beef sausage is the best.
We used to eat there all the time when we lived in Bastrop and its still as good as I remember...I definitely recommend!
Everytime we pass by, we have to stop and get a bag of our favorite jerky. On top of that, they always have new pies and sweets in store for us to try. They make jerky like no other.
Love this place
The brisket is absolutely the best, the cold sausage that you can buy by the pound is very good better than their Meyers store brand...as a young girl I would go with my grandfather to purchase "broken pieces" now that is the greatest!! Broken pieces are various sizes and flavors of their sausage you can purchase. The baked potatoes although reasonably priced, may be better when eating in the restaurant. To take home with the pre packaged condiments, not good, potato over cooked so it was not covered by the meat cheese sour cream etc. (Yall know how a loaded baked potatoe should be). And some of the upper management part of the Meyers family I believe appeared not to enjoy my giving feedback on the food. But that's who I am it's what I do, try them out.
BBQ something MES knows how to do!! IMHO!!
