It was cool
Best fried shrimp! Get the shrimp combo plate, which comes with 5 fried and 2 stuffed shrimp, a fresh salad and one side.

Great food and service
Of all the times we had eaten at Christie's, we have never had a bad meal. On this visit I saw they offered a burger on the menu. You might think, oh by the way here's a burger just incase. To my surprise this was the best, most tender flavorful burger I have ever had. We recommend Christie's as a must visit to eat.
Our first time visiting we were pleased with the food and service. I recommend the Opelousas entree it was delicious couldn't eat it all. Our party of 5 was celebrating a lot - kids last day of school, my son graduating from middle school and our family friend finally retired. We had a great time I must say celebrating here was really worth the trip. We will be back.
I remember when Christie's use to have another location on South Main street it was good eating then and good eating now! When I do not want chain seafood I still go to Christie's. The catfish and shrimp were good as expected. And now I have introduced my daughter inlaw to a new experience and she loved it!
I was craving crab legs and google pointed us in this direction. We decided to go at 8pm on a Friday and to our surprise there was no wait. We walked in and were promptly seated. We ordered the calamari and shrimp cocktail for appetizers. For entrees we ordered shrimp etouffee, crab legs and children’s chicken fingers and French fries. The food was good. The only reason I gave this place 4 stars is because I believe our waiter could’ve been more attentive.
Fried flounder fish is delicious, the place is clean, original and with great service. We will back soon
Very friendly place.. Also very good food..
We wanted to go somewhere different, so we went to Houston’s oldest restaurant, a place I hadn’t been to in over ten years. Old school in every way, and I mean that as a complement. Great service, same incredible menu, and delicious food. Started with oysters Rockefeller and crawfish bisque which were both wonderful.....as were the cornbread muffins [real cornbread not that sweet stuff you seem to get everywhere]. Large, fresh salads with ripe red tomatoes and what has to be the best thousand Island around, and the fried shrimp and stuffed shrimp combo with delicious potatoes au gratin. No room for dessert and enough to take home for later. If you have never eaten at Christie’s you must try, and if you haven’t been here lately, you are in for another, and familiar, treat.
Nice food and great service. The average age of the diners is 50 plus may be 60s.
Excellent food and service
Great service and terrific fried shrimp 🍤
Lovely ambience , and good food . If you are not gluten intolerant , you would have good choices to choose from . I would highly recommend Christie s Seafood .
Old fashioned neighborhood seafood eatery with all the best of the basics
Oldest restaurant in Houston. We've been going here for four decades and can report that they still do an excellent job. We came at the end of the recent oyster season - they're as good as ever!
This place is awesome!!! Maria makes this place run smooth. Talk about great food. I highly recommend them.
