Found this gem while looking for the famous 'Mike's'. Have to say that the cookies ( especially the almond one), croissants were heavenly:). Great collection of pastries as well. Less sweet but soft with great flavors. Even Mike doesn't sell cookies as good as this ;) It is a must try if you are in Boston.
Love this place!
The real deal for Italian baked goods! The only place you need to go in Boston!
Best place to go for late night calzones and canolis. One of the latest open places in downtown Boston.
Best pastry ever!! They literally have every pastry you could think of plus some
Definitely the best bakery in Boston. Such a hidden gem. I've never spent less then $50 there and always come out with 2 big bags. The calzones are great. The staff are some of the friendliest people I've ever met. It's amazing when you go in there at 3am on a week day and there are other customers.
Yummy deserts! So so much choice!
Great food amazing bakery. Always a stop I make in the north end.
First time here, Florentine cannoli...mike drop. I don't bake anymore now that I have moved to Boston and have Bova's 12 miles from me. I get the fresh pasta when company comes to town, an assortment of desserts and the rice balls. Lunch or late night? Get the rice balls or a sandwich. YOU JUST CANT GO WRONG WITH ANYTHING HERE. Not from Boston, this is the place. Mike's and Modern are where the tourists go. Bova's ships too...those little Italian cookies are SO good with coffee during the holiday season!
IMO better than mikes! It’s worth the walk to Prince Street.
While visiting Boston for my first time, We were told we had to have a cannoli from Mike's Pastry, and I did not see what the fuss was about. The next day, we stopped into Bova's and the flavor and freshness of the cannoli was insane! The staff was pleasant, and helpfull, especially for a Midwesterner straight off the farm. Thank you so much for the delicious pastry and fantastic, friendly service!
A trip to the North end is not complete without a stop at Bova’s. This is best bakery in Boston by far. The staff is amazing and you can’t beat the food. My family always comes in to grab a rice ball and a Sfogliatella but you can’t go wrong with any of their offerings. 5 stars!
Love Bova's everything is fresh and delicious. Bova's is the only place my family and I go to in the North End for desserts and calzones. The employees are very friendly and the place is spottless. The place can get crowded but believe me it's worth wait . Just thinking of the place makes me want to go there ASAP.
Tasty baked good, friendly staff!
The food is fresh and delicious.
Amazing place to Amazing calzones but the only problem is the parking but otherwise this place is GREAT
Showed up at midnight in need of sustinence. They did not disappoint. The veggie options are delicious. The canolies are heavenly. And surviving the night with food in my belly was much appreciated.
They are really open 24 hours, but local laws prevent the baking of pizza after 1 am. No worries, the staff was very friendly and gave us some great suggestions for the myriad other treats available. Rice balls were amazing and so was the tiramisu.
Cannolli is really good, other pastries like rum cake, strawberry shortcake and must have lobster tail is so good. Must try if you're in the area at anytime of the day, because they're open 24/7. Plus they do sell pan pizza and a variety of calzone that look really good, but haven't try it yet.
