Went twice on my week long vacay cause it was amazing
Food was awesome!
Great food and service! The gumbo was the best!
You gotta go for the excellent fish poboy and some of the best gumbo I’ve had in New Orleans. While entrance doesn’t do justice to this locals restaurant the food a vibe will. As an added bonus you’ll meet Ruthie, she’s the one on the right, she’ll make you feel as if you walked into her home.
Loved this little hole in the wall restaurant. It is next door to a bar and you do have to look to find it but it is well worth the effort. I had eggs and grits, which were buttery and tasty. The service was super friendly. It felt like locals spot.
Brianna is totally awesome! Great energy and vibe combined with GREAT SERVICE!
The owner, Paulie Timphony, is amazing and entertaining....great staff and AMAZING FOOD!!!!
Loved it! Referred by Bria @ Wyndham Garden! The food was excellent! We felt right at home! We were met with "Who Dat" smiles and delicious Gumbo and Shimp Po-Boy! Oh yeah, the Peach Cobbler was awesome!
Very good food!!
This place was Awesome! Food was delicious, the gumbo out of this world!!
Awesome southern hospitality
We were told this is one of the places to go for any meal so we stopped for breakfast. Quite an selection for breakfast which was very good. Grilled shrimp with cheeses grits is excellent along with hot sausage and egg sandwich. This place was a little hard to find but well worth going there. Not very big inside but the staff there is very friendly and will take good care of you.
Great grits, biscuits. Not a large place but well worth it.
This place has the best food in new Orleans.. it's a hometown place with a great vibe.
Great prices and food, hidden gem
Hobnobs was the 'find' of the week for us and we nearly missed it! Imagine a busy morning, the breakfast place you've been going to is full, someone looks up 'cheap breakfast' on their phone & we stand on the sidewalk looking for something called 'Hobnobs' (yes the sign was above us but we didn't look up), when a lovely man asks, "Y'all looking' for breakfast?" So we follow him down a kind-of dark hallway which opens into a room with folks eating at tables & busy cooks behind a big window/bar! Oh did I mention there were 12 of us?! Tables were pushed together & we lined up at the window, quickly reading the posted menu. You ordered at one end of the bar, then moved along a few steps & paid at the other end. I don't know how they did it but when you paid you got handed your meal! What a meal! Everything was hot (obviously!), plentiful, & scrumptious! And fun! This wasn't fine dining but it sure was fun! Everyone was SO nice to us! I mean we were tourists & a big group but we felt welcome & happy. Our only sadness was that we found this great place at the end of our visit in Nola rather than the beginning!
Great, welcoming place if you’re looking for something off of Bourbon street. Gumbo is amazing! The owners are very friendly and you can tell that they take so much pride in their business and meals they prepare using family recipes! Every thing was decently priced for our quick lunch stop. The bar tender was fun and energetic as well. She was telling us all about some of the art pieces on the wall! Definitely make this a stop! We will be returning every year on our New Orleans trip!
Ok, this was recommended by our hotel's doorman, who described it as "like if your grandma and great-grandma were cooking for Iron Chef". Well...... the shrimp and grits were amazing! I'll be back before I leave to try something else.
Good Food and Nice People Coming and Going
Stopped in for a quick breakfast. Good food, portion size was great and friendly staff.
