So yummy! Great service! Totally worth checking out!
Very yummy vegan options and kind staff!
Worth the wait for a good brunch
This was the best breakfast I’ve had in ages! I had the Irish omelet and was pleasantly surprised by the extra tasty corned beef and overall freshness of the dish. The blueberry pancakes were fluffy and delicious....fried oatmeal! Yum! Never had that before. And finally I have to give a shout out to the polenta fries! This is no greasy spoon. Everything was fresh and flavorful and done just right.
Best food ever!
Great atmosphere and even better food.
Breakfast is always good
Don’t you feel like you deserve a kick in the butt when you realize you’ve been missing out on something good for probably 27 years? That’s exactly my reaction after finally getting to The Country Corner Café. My wife has been saying she was interested in trying the place for longer than I can remember. The stars all aligned today and I was able to suggest going there for breakfast. At first glance, the entrance to the Café at the corner of Church and Woodlawn, literally in the corner of the building, reveals a very small dining area with a handful of stools at a counter, a couple of booths, and a banquette with three tables. We’re probably talking about seating for only a couple dozen customers. But don’t let this deter you. They have a second entrance on Church Street with a stairway to a second floor in another part of the same building. Here you’ll find a gift shop, a waiting area, the restrooms, and a dining area that can seat maybe another three dozen customers. We were able to grab a table on the first floor where the shelves, ledges, and window sills were filled with various knick knacks giving an authentic “country” feel. A prompt greeting by our server with menus and a beverage inquiry, resulted in a couple of cups of good coffee ($1.99/ea. bottomless). The Specials menu takes advantage of both locally and seasonally available items. Today, blueberries could be found in the pancakes of the day, the homemade pie, and even the coffee of the day. My wife did also try the blueberry coffee and gave it her approval because it did NOT have an artificial taste. The Southern Benedict ($8.99) appealed to both of us but my wife ordered it first – poached eggs with spicy turkey sausage patties, fried green tomatoes, and a hollandaise sauce, all served on homemade buttermilk biscuits. It was also served with grilled home fries. The bennie was a wonderful blend of flavors. The biscuits were light and delicious without the dominance of a strong baking powder flavor. I opted for the Housemade Biscuits with Sausage and Gravy ($8.99). Yes, it was similar to my wife’s breakfast, so I’m going to underscore the deliciousness of all the common components. I requested my eggs over-easy and they came out very much to my liking. The gravy was neither too thick nor too thin, it had great flavor, and the spicy sausage had just a tinge of spiciness on my scale, yet enough to notice and please. The home fries that came with both dishes were excellent, decent sized cuts of potato that were soft on the inside with some that were actually crispy on the outside. Service was friendly, welcoming and efficient. We look forward to our next visit.
One of our favorite spots in Saratoga. Always a perfect breakfast. There can be a wait because it is great.
Great food! Even better service!
love the staff
Love going to the Country Corner for breakfast. Nice choices, efficient service and delicious food. Love the huevos rancheros
A very simple place for a full traditional breakfast . We prefer leaving our hotel and finding local places for a full breakfast and were most pleased we did . Plenty of comfort food and atmosphere. Place gets very busy but well worth hi .
I love their breakfasts. Enough said.
Excellent place !!!
I've been eating here for many years. You can't beat the food, service here. That's what keeps people coming back.
Friendly service and good home made food. Small place but worth waiting for a table to open up.
Good quality homemade food. Fresh breads and homemade jelly. Downstairs at the corner or sign in upstairs on the wait list. Nice variety of foods like fried oatmeal, eggs Benedict and the usuals. Great staff. Closes early afternoon but serves breakfast all day
