I was in San Francisco for business and this hotel was a delightful surprise for 3 nights... modern, great WiFi, great staff, well appointed room and roomy bathroom. Even had bathrobes in the closet. Duvet and bed were perfect.
I was in SF for business and this hotel was booked for me. I couldn't have been happier. It is in a fabulous location, and the hotel is lovely and serene. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. One night while waiting in the lobby for a take-out order to arrive, I had a fascinating conversation with the doorman about language learning and travel. The room I was in was perhaps a bit small but perfectly fine and quite cozy for my needs. The bed was very comfortable, good choice of pillows. I loved that the room had two windows, one larger one and another smaller one to the side. The decorations in the room were simple, warm, and welcoming and very clean. The bathroom felt quite luxurious. I also loved that the hotel is LEED certified. One must insert the room card into a slot on the wall just inside the room to activate the lighting and heating system. I used the fitness room twice. Although it was rather small -- one elliptical, one stationary bike, one treadmill -- I was able to get in my intended workout without having to wait. In all, a very pleasant stay. Thank you!
Very nice hotel.
The room that we had was an excellent size. While the view was not that exciting, we did not spend a lot of time in our room. With Chinatown around the corner, there were plenty of things to see and do in the area. It was convenient to catch a ride on the MUNIor the BART. We were attending an event at the Julia Morgan Ballroom and it was also within a short distance of the hotel. The staff were AMAZING. Friendly, helpful, accommodating. I felt like we were staying with friends. Excellent property!
Great location; the hotel is just around the corner from Chinatown, and only a five or so minute walk to the closest BART station. Rooms were clean and good sized, and despite my odd hours housekeeping always managed to slip in while I was gone. Got the breakfast package; very much worth it with a good amount of options in their restaurant, Roots, and a lot included. Absolutely recommended; price is worth it.
Stayed here for one night after a week in Napa. Room was exceptional, service was excellent, location is great within 30 minute walk to waterfront and Pier 39. Plenty of quality shopping and restaurants within just a couple blocks. Highly recommend and definitely will return.
Good room with amenities. Clean and centrally located for easy access to stores and other needs.
Great boutique hotel in downtown. I felt like no one else was staying. This place was very quiet and service was great. Great location it is close to the financial district Chinatown and union square. Was only a short walk from the train. Lots of food options around. The price was fair for the area. They do not offer breakfast as part of the stay, but has a restaurant on site. Great place to stay.
This hotel is in a nice location! Our room was clean, great size and the bed was comfortable. They have a rooftop with tables and chairs which was very nice. After a long day of sightseeing, my husband and I would grab a bottle of wine and go sit up there. It was very nice!
This hotel is an excellent retreat from the bustling Financial District. The property was clean, peaceful, and comfortable. The staff was exceptionally friendly and professional. I will definitely stay here again.
Great location and very friendly/knowledgeable staff. Room was a great size, very clean, and the beds were very comfortable. Hotel was clean throughout and close enough to food so we could walk to them.
We love the location of this hotel, the are is walking friendly to all our favorite spots is SF. The accommodations are great and green friendly. We also love the staff, all are friendly and very helpful.
The room is clean, simple and easy to utilize the systems.
My wife and I very much enjoyed our stay at this hotel . The staff was friendly and very helpful. Our room was large (superior King) and very bright and clean. The hotel is centrally located a few steps from Chinatown and a short walk from Market Street, the Embarcadero and Union Square. It is also easily accessible to public transportation, including the Montgomery BART station and the Powell St. cable car..The only reservation we had was some noise from traffic on very busy Bush St . we experienced staying in a front room on the second floor. The noise level could probably be reduced by reserving a room on a higher floor and//or rear facing room,.
Knowing that staying for only 3 nights in San Francisco you need to find a place convenient to all the attracions and public transport. Orchard Garden Hotel is central to everywhere. Only 5-10 min to Chinatown, Business District Area, Union Square Cable Car Turnaround Terminal. Hotel is clean and staff are very friendly.Highly recommended.
The stay was pleasureable! The staff was friendly. The hotel was clean. The location is great! The room was clean everday, and the bed was very comfortable. The free wifi was very good. This is a very good place to stay in San Francisco!
Not a lot to say except that my room was very clean and entirely comfortable. At check in, you are handed a hot towel, which is unusual and a nice touch. The Orchard Garden is not cheap, but it is right in the financial district at the edge of Chinatown, a few blocks from BART, so the cost seems par for the course. I definitely recommend this hotel.
Wonderful, hidden Gem located central to China Town, Union Square Shopping and the Financial District / Waterfront. Staff is very friendly, attentive and helpful. Roof top Garden is a great view and nice place to relax for a drink. Rooms are well appointed and comfortable and no hidden “facility / resort feesL like so many Union Square hotels charge. Travel to SF monthly for business and this is my “go to†hotel!
I’ve reviewed this hotel before. It has always been a 5 star stay - clean, comfortable, luxurious and in the best location in downtown San Francisco. Bonus points for being very eco-friendly. This time I have to write because of the tremendous customer service I received from the Housekeeping team and Max from customer service! I left a bag of very costly prescription medications in my hotel safe when i checked out. Housekeeping didn’t just throw it away - they saw the contents and stored it for me! When I called, Max offered to ship the medications back to my home. He gave me his cell phone number and kept me up to date as he took it to UPS and provided me with a tracking number. The Orchard Garden Hotel blows me away every time! Thank you! Please tip your housekeeper and please promote MAX!
The hotel is really good, mostly due the localization, however... its not properly prepared for more than 2 days. The room is confortable but really small. The staff is really helpful. I would comeback
