It's been a while since we last went there as a family. The staff were very courteous and catered to our requests. The ambiance was ok. The food was ok but again it's been a while since we last went there. Some of the food wasn't as spicy as we thought but nevertheless a really nice place to go to. The area is great, close to train and #5 bus. We highly recommend it. You can always take a walk to the Cloisters after dinner or lunch (smile)
The food at Kismat was astounding!! The waiters there are also really nice. The recent renovation made the interior of the restaurant look nice. Kismat also has live jazz musicians play there on Friday nights. I totally recommend going there!
I go there often with my daughter and family other times. The food is excellent, the service is great and the experience is always pleasant and consistent. I feel at home everytime we go!
The salted lassi (not on the menu but gracefully prepared nonetheless) and paratha were delicious and exactly what I needed!!!
I was in Hudson Heights with a local and had a hankering for Indian and he suggested we come to Kismet. He knew the owners (a man and his wife) and both came to our table for a chat and were lovely, warm people. We ordered some appetisers (Samosa, papadum, banana pakora and piazi) and they were tasty and good quality. A lovely experience.
The only place I absolutely HAVE to visit anytime I’m in NYC! I drive from Kentucky JUST to eat here. The best in the USA!
Our family has been grazing here for over 20 years---Why?....Unfortunately had no choice since we discovered they have a "one off" tandoori Salmon which is drop dead great!!!!....We love salmon and nothing can hold a candle to their recipe....yes, it is that unique....hope this review doesn't end up us now hearing they've run out each time we go! Absolutely killer dish which should be taken advantage of while it lasts!!!
order here frequently the food is good and there are healthy options. There are also very quick to resolve any issues you have with orders. :)
The food is always excellent..and for Indian cuisine newbies, always someone to assist with choices. Always feel like family as the staff is warm and wonderful.
The food was delicious... The customer service was awesome I reccomend 100% to go visit there. The atmosphere was cozy and the music was soothin. Best Indian restaurant
We love having Kismat in our neighborhood! It delivers delicious flavors and great service every time. We especially love Kismat's Sunday brunch buffet!
We've given the new bar area at Kismat a couple of tries in the past few weeks, and it's a really nice addition to the 'hood. Clean, spacious, good drinks/wine/beers at great prices, nice bartenders, and good/inexpensive bar snacks available from the main menu ( we hear a special bar menu is in the works). Among other things, we were shocked to discover that a plate-full of tasty Tandoori chicken wings was only $5. A nice place to grab a drink and a bite at the end of long workday, for sure.
Fantastic. You cannot miss out on this experience.
So yummy. And the best service. Love this spot.
nice place, good food and around my house love it...
Service was poor. And the food was bland. Very disappointed
Welcoming staff and owner. Went here for my mom birthday, 20+ people and everyone including myself enjoyed it. They serve a very delicious fresh baked Tandoori chicken, Curries, Lamb, Basmati rice, vegetables, samosas, chutney and a good variety of naan, especially very good garlic naan. All fresh authentic ingredients and delicious! Great location on the corner. Excellent fresh healthy portions. Big fan of the salmon speacial and garlic naan. Oh and the drinks were on point. Message to the owner ...thank you very much for having us. We'll be back soon
Really great food and great environment, had a wonderful time with with family and friends
Stopped by this spacious corner restaurant with bar for lunch. Service, decor and music was good. The mango lassi was ok, too much yogurt, but the rest was the food was very good. For appetizers, had the Coconut and Mulligatawny soups - coconut was ok but mulligatawny was good. Shared the Chicken Tikka Masala and Mixed Vegetables Kurma, alone with Naan with onions - food was really good and tasty. Looking forward to our next visit.
