This place has all sorts of miscellaneous stuff, and cheap. Something like an Ocean State Job Lot only much smaller.
Moved to West Concord last summer without household goods. (Everything was left in Calif. condo to rent it furnished.) This is MY store!! You name it; they have it, OR, will get it if at all possible. "I need a "thingamajig" to fit into the "whatchamacallit" that goes in the "doohickey". "Oh, yes, I know just what you need; follow me; it's right over here in this aisle, on the bottom." Last fall I was recovering from a nasty session of bronchitis. My doc wanted me to walk a little more each day (but not at my usual pace or distance!). I walked to the village haltingly, and was passing the 5&10. The clerk glanced up from her counter, ran outside, "What happened to you? We've missed you." I explained and she wished me the best recovery. My latest purchase--storage bins/lids for the trunk, plus rubberized shelf liner to keep the bins from sliding around! So the store is PACKED, the aisles are NARROW, and you need to STUDY the shelves and bins, and the staff is ready to help you immediately!
We went to this store for nostalgic reasons but once we arrived we were amazed by the selection and how they seemed to have everything in just the right quantity.
Great store! If they don't have it they can get it. Pay a visit.
They have everything! If you can't find it anyplace else, they always have it here.
One of my most favorite places to shop! I can always locate those hard to find items and appreciate the friendly staff. A real West Concord gem!
A nice old store that has everything you need and more!
This store really has a little bit of everything you could need! Need mineral oil to restore wood, got it, need a sharpie to mark some things, got it, need some keys made, got it, need a soldering iron because something electrical broke, got it, need a plastic replica of a cod for your staff to see what a cod looks like, randomly got it too!
Love this place. It's and old time 5& 10 where you can find so many things. If they don't have what you're looking for, they will get it for you. You name, they have. Staff is extremely helpful and can accurately tell you exactly where everything is. I take it off town guests there!
I really like this funky little place. They usually have what I need and surprise me by having obscure items and fun new toys. Even if they do not have exactly what I am looking for, there is usually something close to what I need that I can substitute and it is a wonderfully convenient place to pick up birthday gifts for kids. My kids love this place too. Great spot for them to spend allowance money.
Love the Five And Ten, it's a great place to shop for some hard to find stuff
I love this place. I can always find the oddest things I've searched for elsewhere without success. It reminds me of stores from my childhood where you could get anything you needed. Glad it's still here.
Nice little 5 & 10, all kinds of everything.
Love this place forever. I know Concord and West Concord, MA well. I have worked back in 1980 at the Five and Ten in Ayer - formerly South Groton, MA. These places are an absolute gem. Keep!!!
I have always found what I needed on the shelf, if not just ask, they might have it out back. I am amazed at the variety of items in such a small space. Organized well, prices are reasonable for such a convenient one stop shop! I've shopped there for crafts, office supplies, kitchen stuff, gifts for kids, gift wrap/boxes, electrical supplies, summer goods, party goods, Halloween make up, clothing dye, cleaning products. Saves a trip to big box store and cuts down on impulse purchases:) I've brought friends from out of town there just to check it out.
I looked everywhere for a donut cutter. My bus driving friend Geoff also works at concord lamp & shade and because west concord 5 & 10 is local, he found a donut cutter for me there.
Spent a lot of time in the 5 & 10 when I was a kid. If you couldn't find something you were looking for, just go to the 5 & 10 and you will find it there.
Lots of fun memories! It was just a store, but kind of the heart of W. Concord :) Every child loved that store. If I were close enough, I'd still be shopping there!
