Love it, love it. Food and generous happy hour make me happy
Amazing food and staff!!!
Every dish was succulent and well seasoned. The sangria was also delicious. The staff took great care of us and made us feel welcomed.
Delicious and excellent service. Homemade hot sauce is the best.
The lunch buffet is really great and a good value. The staff try to get to know you and can recognize/greet you when you come in to eat.
I love this place so much. Their Madras lamb is so good. Definitely get that dish if you're into spicy food. And it can definitely feed two people with one dish unless you eat a lot Lol and the people there are super sweet and funny. Even the cook comes out to ask if the food is good. Like am I in heaven?
The buffet lunch special is amazing
FOOD IS EXCELLENT.SERVICE WAS SUPERB.VERY FRIENLY,RELAXED ATMOSPHERE ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Clove is a solid Indian restaurant right next to City College. They have nice sidewalk seating which my classmates and I enjoyed on a summer evening. Service was friendly and efficient. The food was decent- not the best Indian food I’ve had- but very reasonably priced. I left full, and paid about $16, which includes tax and tip. The malai kofta (vegetarian balls in a sauce, with rice on the side) was a bit too sweet for me, and the kofta were pretty small. But, overall, I enjoyed my meal nonetheless and for the price I’ll be coming back for sure.
I've only had lunch buffet at Clove and my review is based on this experience. The main thing to remember is that this is an inexpensive restaurant: $10.95 for a full buffet, including desert, is not something you can easily beat! The buffet has a standard structure: small samosas for appetizer, naan bread, basmati rice, two vegetarian and two meat dishes (almost always chicken), dessert (rice pudding or gulab jamun) and condiments. A glass of sweet iced tea is also included. The food is quite decent, by no means exquisite but not bad either. It is underspiced, but you can add hot sauce to fire it up to any temperature. Selections tend to rotate every couple days, so eating there regularly can become a repetitive and rather boring experience. Service is fast and polite, and you can dine both indoors and outdoors. Overall, this is a nice little place where you can have a very satisfying and filling meal at a bargain price. The only downside is that your waistline may suffer if you make it a habit!
Fabulous menu, tasty and affordable.
My staff and I have made it our once week lunch spot. We love it and the food and prices are great. The drinks are yummy too!
Delicious!!! Thank You for making us feel special.
Only place I’ve ever had Banana Pakoras
I've only been here for their buffet. Their selection is small but the food is really good.
Great food great taste it's what you love..
This Indian restaurant is located strategically opposite the City College of N.Y. entrance on Amsterdam. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. We were a party of 7 (4 adults and 3 kids) and we were dealing with hungry kids following the end of a graduation ceremony at CCNY. Once we were seated, we were given water and tamarind juice to refresh our palates and invited to join the buffet and serve ourselves. The buffet had a lot of variety, but not too much to feel overwhelmed, and the food tasted so good. The ambience in this place is perfect for date night, hanging out with friends or just celebrating. I loved the exposed brick wall and the ceiling within the restaurant. The customer service was awesome - staff were professional and courteous. I definitely look forward to going back soon!!!
Extremely good value Indian cuisine. Beautiful selection and diverse menu. Venue is adorable. Staff are wonderfully friendly and helpful. Favourite Indian in NYC!
