Wonderful food and service!!
The crab soup and burger was great!
Restaurant was busy however server was good. Sit in the bar as no other tables available. The employee had a lot of customers however she was great. She took time to talk to me and make sure had everything needed. Got the stuffed mushrooms and were good but would have liked a couple more for price. Will be back when in area again.
Decent food, pricey
AJs on the creek is great for a romantic evening with a loved one. We went on a Friday night and were serenaded (softly) by a musician who played piano, trumpet and sang, a veritable one-person band! The food is excellent, I reiterate the reviews of others when saying the bread and salad are to die for. For dessert we ordered a limoncello, and were blown away by how amazing it was. Even the whipped cream had a slight lemony tang to it! I highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for something a little more upscale for your visit to Chincoteague!
AJ's has a delightful array of seafood and land lubbers meat dishes. We loved the oyster rockefeller appetizer. Great service and not overly expensive. Get a reservation in advance.
We love going to local restaurants when traveling for business. Sometimes you have to kiss a few frogs before you find a prince! Not so this trip! Aj’s was cozy with friendly vibe. We were seated quickly considering we didn’t have reservation. Host kept us posted and had us at a table in exactly time promised! Waitress was exceptional and seafood was delicious!
Stopped in on Thursday afternoon. Great drink special and totally enjoyed talking with locals. Wonderful and friendly bartenders. Tonight was steak night. Fabulous!! $13 for a perfectly cooked NY 10oz strip!!! Loved the steak and local folks!!
Enjoyed our dining experience during Pony Penning week and didn't have to wait very long. Loved the scallops.
AJs is a very nice restaurant. Table & booth bench seats comfortable. Excellent service, kept the ice water filled & free soda refills. I had the fresh catch swordfish & clams casino for appetizer- both were excellent. House salad was perfect size & nice proportion of usually ingredients. Good food & inexpensive prices for big tourist area.
We enjoyed the bar while we waited, and then the restaurant. Both had excellent service, and our meal was excellent. Highly recommend this place if you are ever in Chicoteague, Virginia.
Service and food was awesome! !!
Went here on Saturday night. Made reservations for 7pm. We arrived and got the last parking spot in the lot. There really is no other place to park if the lot is filled. We were seated immediately and our waitress was very attentive. I had the Fried shrimp and my husband had the scampi. Wasn't impressed by the food very much. Was disappointed in the crab soup, I've had much better down the Jersey shore. All in all it was an average restaurant with decent prices, nothing special.
Although this isn’t our favorite dining spot on the island, we had an enjoyable meal here. Steaks are rather pricey, but the seafood is comparably priced to other local restaurants. Everything was delicious and the service was prompt and friendly. My pasta fan spouse who wasn’t in the mood for seafood enjoyed the spaghetti and meatballs. My crab cakes were good, but not the best I’ve had. The sides were salads and baked potato. All meals came with the same sides. Both sides were good.
We stopped for lunch and they were having a coconut shrimp and fries lunch special for $7.50. It was delicious. Six nice sized strips with a plate of well fried fries. It was scrumptious. Dinner menu looked great too!
Tuesday night, 9/3/19. Super menu selections. Not your typical, standard list of offerings. Great shrimp scampi ( I added some succulent scallops) and a great strip done to my liking. I like like the anchovy option on the Caesar. Grated parm on my scampi? Yes please Just me, sat at the bar. Thorough and nice service and pre-bussing. Everyone was friendly and helpful, not just the bartender serving me. I can’t wait to come back. My only complaint is that I didn’t have enough time or room in my belly to try more!
Looks nice inside. Salad was fresh and appealing. The flounder was good but a bit on the dry side. BREAD was tasty as well as the baked potato. Lemon pie, called Key Lime but with lemon flavor, dessert was delicious but with whipped cream topping. I would have preferred meringue though. All in all above average meal this time. Pricey
Nice place. Great service. Excellent special with 3 apps for two at $25.
Great service, food and drinks were very good, and a lovely view.
