Had some really good grilled tuna tacos for lunch, good service, friendly people
Big improvement in the consistency of being great!
Don’t let the name fool you! This place has better food than you might expect - especially the mahi mahi and the ultimate steam pot. Not to mention super friendly service (ask for Emily R!) and live music too. In an area where restauarant choices can be a bit limited we went back twice and if we’d found it earlier would likely have visited even more often!
Very good food
It was very busy. Had to wait 45 minutes. But the live music and corn hole made the wait not so bad. Great staff, good food, good entertainment.
We almost passed it by looking for a place with an ocean view, but our stomachs convinced us it was time to stop and we were so glad. The restaurant is not particularly attractive but the food says it all. The service was very friendly and quick. I had the fried shrimp and it was the best fried shrimp I have ever had. The shrimp were large and lightly coated with a very tasty breading just enough to add seasoning but not enough to overwhelm the shrimp. The fries were well seasoned, freshly cooked with a light seasoned coating. Great food.
Great food, great service, great employees. What else can I say?
Great place for dinner or drinks. Authentic Florida feel with amazing seafood..get the combo olatter and try a little of everything while you enjoy the atmosphere and live music.
The food was good. We enjoyed the catfish fingers and crab cakes. We also had fun playing corn hole. Would definitely go back.
The best fried catfish I've ever had! Amazing soul food. Super friendly staff. Definitely a hidden gem!
Cute spot and very cool vibe. Great service and good seafood. I had the ahi and was very pleased. Good drink menu too. Get there 630 ish it starts getting busy after 7
Had a great band the night we went. Food was very good and drinks were good. The only drawback was a little wait. We will return.
We stopped by for dinner - 4 adults with 3 children (2, 5, and 7). My dining partner (grampa) really wanted ribs that night and the rest of us wanted seafood. We all had our wishes fulfilled. One never would have expected that a seafood place would have ribs, but baby back ribs are a specialty on the menu. The parents of the children shared JT's Ultimate Steam Pot and loved it. The crab legs in the pot were especially meaty. I had the catch of the day. There were a number of choices, including shrimp, on the kids' menu so the youngsters were satisfied, too. Another reviewer noted that the outside of the restaurant does not speak to what one finds on the inside. We were a little apprehensive at first, but friendly servers and good food allayed our fears. We enjoyed live music (steel drum soloist accompanied by background music on his iPad) for a little bit after dinner until the children got a little too rowdy. However, it didn't matter as there were a number of other families dining the night we were there. Actually, it was fun to see all the youngsters. If we're ever in the area again, we would return to JT's Seafood Shack.
This place was great!! So fresh! We all got something different and everyone loved their food. There is usually a wait but they text you when your table is ready so it’s very convenient!
We wanted nice early dinner. We had live music. We enjoyed our evening. Food was great, music was just right, not too loud and a family environment.
We always enjoy great fres Servie was great as usual.h seafood here whenwe visit Palm Coast I enjoy the frid shrimp which are large andwell prepared.
Always a nice place to eat, drink and be friendly. Check out the specials, all you can eat shrimp on thursdays, with live music and open mike.
We live next to the ocean, so sometimes can be considered seafood snobs as we have seafood at least 5 times a week. Read about JT's while staying at the Hammock Resort. It's a shack alright, straight out of a backwoods bayou look. First off, our server "Michelle" was just terrific and added to our overall experience. Now ...... about the seafood .... had the shrimp & grits, that absolutely exploded in my mouth with flavor .... then somewhere, over halfway through it seemed to lose its continuity. The 6 shrimp were certainly solid tasty shrimp. Ending this, evening, with (since they were out of Key Lime pie), a peanut butter pie that was decadent. They have outdoor entertainment, but the temp was cool that night, so we ate inside. Very busy at 6 PM. Went back for the second night, had the catfish fingers that were good but, really too heavily fried, the Mahi Mahi special was only ok, while the crab cakes had an overbearing wasabi taste. The Key Lime pie was all white, with only a slight taste of lime. Obviously some like it that way. It was lovely, but I like it slightly more tart. So it was kind of a mixed bag over two nights But .......... The best part .................. the pricing was right.
Shrimp grits beer ,spirits US and abroad lots of the usual suspects an if you're lucky unusual as well bon appetite space travelers
My mahi-mahi with lemon/caper sauce was very good. It was done nicely with the right amount of seasoning and good tasting rice. My partners veggie wrap got a solid thumbs up and each was a right sized portion. They have the usual watery beers (bud light, etc) with one or two craft selections. The prices are alright and we had good service.
