Excellent food! Great service!
Fantastic food, friendly staff, and great quiet atmosphere. This restauraunt is absolutely amazing, and is worth paying a visit.
It is a tiny hole in the wall kind of place. But the food is good and the service is attentive.
We really enjoyed dinner at Sergios! We did the Italian way and shared everything! We loved the grilled zucchini and mozzarella appetizer and then split the asparagus ravioli which was also great. We then had a delicious pork dish also big enough to share. We finished our meal by sharing the Tiramisu. Luigi was so entertaining and personable-what a lovely evening!
There's nothing fancy about this place, just some old school Italian cooking. After a long day in DC walking the national mall, it was really nice to sit and eat in a quiet place that wasn't crowded. The home made pasta was really good, and our favorite part of dinner. The canoli was exceptional
We spent 3 nights at the hotel Doubletree and had 3 times dinner at Sergio. Genuine Italian dishes, warm welcoming from Sergio and his son. The prices are very affordable. This is a real hidden gem. Do not miss this opportunity if you stay at the Doubletree.
Great food and great atmosphere
Excellent food, inexpensive, nice atmosphere, good service. Meal includes a salad!
Good pasta dish.
Amazing! Food was excellent, staff was super friendly, and they made my 30th birthday even more special by giving me a birthday tiramisu on the house. Thank you so much for the hospitality!!! Will definitely come back if I ever make the trip up to DC again!
I am in the area on business and stopped in for dinner with my wife based on reviews. I was immediately greeted by Sergio given a great table and Sergio himself went over the menu. Food was superb to say the least. Sergio is a great host and it really shows by the amount of obvious regulars who greeted him with hugs and were on a first name basis. If in Silver Spring do not miss this gem, just as good or better than any red sauce joint in NYC.
Great service with excellent food. Will certainly be returning!
I can't say enough great things about this place. Food is always amazing. Staff is excellent. It is one of my very favorite places in the entire DC metro area. When I'm in town, I often have only one night free for dinner. This is where I pick!
My wife and family have been going to Sergio's for over 30 years. It's like going home. Almost all the customers are greeted like old family friends. Sergio greets you in person and it's obvious that most of the diners are return customers. Doesn't get a lot of recognition in the latest food craze new restaurants, but if you like home made Northern Italian pasta dishes, this is the place for you! The owner and wait staff recognize you upon arrival and your favorite cocktail will be waiting at your table as soon as you sit down. Great home made Northern Italian pasta but if it's not on the menu, make a request and chances are pretty good that Sergio will satisfy your request. A little appreciated jewel!
Come here for the homemade pasta. It's out this world. Just make sure you have plenty lf time - service is slow and at times awkward One waiter made fun of my voice. Dessert is another must-do here. Skip the appetizers, they are nothing special and you'll want to save the room for their bread.
My friends Fred and Carol have eaten at Sergio's every Friday night for more than 40 years. It's that good! I was happy to join them for a really delicious meal last night. Sergio recommended a tortellini appetizer, vitello ai spinaci as the entree, and tartufo al cioccolato, an absolutely amazing expreso cream dessert. Highly recommended. Thank you, Sergio.
We had the pork chop. Best one I have ever eaten. The ravioli is freshly made ever day by hand. The fish Brencini is excellent.
Good food and service.
Visited the restaurant last Thursday evening. All warmly welcome and shown to our table, the service was excellent. Food was good and nice presented. Very enjoyable
