Always enjoy the buffet breakfast, our Server Olivia was the best, very attentive but not hovering over us and didn’t forget anything we asked for. She was a complete joy and very professional. Dave at the omelette station was also friendly and personable. He made me fried eggs to my order. Dave the dishwasher came out with super clean dishes and Lisa kept the fruit bar fully stocked because of my love of fruit, she was really nice too. Joyce the bartender entertained us with her baton twirling which is always a joy to see. We love the Bull and Claw and by the way the king Crab legs are awesome.
The best prime rib in a long time
We all had a good meal. All were served hot. Cocktail sauce was a bit lackluster.
Decades of great food, huge portions and very good service! Soup and salad bar always a fave. Several options, whether pasta or seafood lover (like our group). We visit a two to theee times during our week stay.
Close to Ogunquit, ( about a 15 minute drive) this family style restaurant offers good food at very reasonable prices. Nice menu selection and specials. $8.95 Senior specials. The baked haddock and the meatloaf very good. Served with potato and veggie.
Bull and Claw has a great menu lots of seating and great parking. We had great server Amanda from Florida she was great. We ate there 4xs in one week. if you are 🍁Canadian and want a great Turkey Dinner for Thanksgiving definitely order theirs. Real Potatoes real turkey and real stuffing... they also have a 2ft lobster roll with 3 lbs of chunks of lobster for $39.99 you can't beat that price. Their prime rib dinner and salmon dinner and fried clam basket with scallops and whole belly clams and clam strips and haddock for 2 people could definetly feed 3. I must admit I was at the Bull and Claw in Oct 2017 and gave them a bad review but I have to admit they've certainly redeemed themselves. There's so much seating booths and tables and the hostess we dealt with was very nice. Truly a restaurant that offers a wide variety, great salad and soup bar and excellent menu with something for everyone. So impressed to see a server who signed. Fantastic! the Bull and Claw has won us over!
Excellent service by April and good food. Very relaxed atmosphere.
Good food, reasonable prices.
from PA come up every Oct. for the past 20 years always have dinner there twice this week great prim rib the food is great staff very friendly love the decor like walking into the fifties very homey keep it up see u next year or sooner
The Bull and Claw is a bit upscale compared to most of the places to eat around Wells, it is very clean, service is great, price is a bit higher but the food is always good.
Service was quick staff friendly and food was delicious
If you are looking for fantastic food in Maine, this place has the best dinner. Ordered The Works and the meal is for two. More than enough and it was delicious. The scallops were perfection. The best clam chowder I’ve had anywhere and I’ve had it everywhere. A must!!!
The food was great. Prime rib was amazing and tge waitstaff was friendly and helpful. The decor was pretty out of date and some if the inside felt unfinished. If they update the inside I would have given it a 5
Excellent service. Friendly. Tasty seafood. The atmosphere and decor is a little dated but clean.
Very nice. Server was efficient and friendly. We came all the way from California, and we were determined to have some real lobster from Maine. My husband had Lobster Louie, and I had a whole lobster. They were both delicious! Our total for drinks and everything was $44. That same meal would have cost us $80 easy in California.
Good fried seafood. The portions were large and came with fries (which were also good) and coleslaw. Will definitely be returning.
Great Establishment, Staff, Service And Food/Drink
Far better than expected
I got the chopped steak and my husband got the lobster roll. Waitress didn't check on us or offer beverage refills but food was ok.
My friends and I have been coming to Southern Maine for more than a decade and are regular visitors to the Bull and Claw. We love the family oriented atmosphere, the large portions, and the friendly vibe of this restaurant. My friends like their prime rib rare, I like mine well done – no problem. The seafood is fresh and plentiful. a bountiful salad bar displayed in a boat and a full bar with hand crafted beers are both available. The servers are friendly and professional. This visit to Maine we went to the Bull and Claw three times and we had Kim and Kendra as waitresses. Both were great – Kim is just a hoot. You can’t go wrong choosing the Bull and Claw for overall value, the quality (and quantity) of food and the great time you and your family and friends will have at this old time favorite restaurant.
