We were first time RV’ers and thoroughly enjoyed our experience at this rv park! Beautiful location, clean park, friendly guests, and lovely owners. Hiking is plentiful around the area with beautiful water falls. The owners really try to make your stay as easy and family friendly as possible. We will definitely be recommending this park to others!
Absolutely beautiful and relaxing. Every Saturday they have BBQ for all to come hangout and watch tv beside the outdoor fireplace. The grounds are immaculate clean as well as the bath houses. Perfect site backed up to the creek with a raised patio area with fire pit. Sure... there is no cell service and the WiFi isn’t great. It is understandable that the WiFi isn’t perfect since it is the mountains and only has satellite internet. I do feel that they shouldn’t advertise the WiFi like it has no problems but when you’re camping in the mountains, you’re camping in the mountains! I actually enjoyed being “disconnected” from my devices while relaxing to the sounds of the creek. Both of my dogs really enjoyed it as well! There is a small dog park that is off leash which is a nice addition. Highly recommend and will be back hopefully soon! Thanks again!
Lovely quiet clean excellently maintained The owners Kevin and Gina couldn't be better hosts. They took over this 38 site RV Park in June 2017 and added a feature covered dining area complete with 65" TV and huge fire place and newly refinished tables but plenty of space for chairs. We spent a fall Saturday there watching football with Kevin on front of a blazing fire of 24" oak logs. That evening, like he does every Saturday, Kevin served his excellent pulled pork for everyone on the site. They are in process of adding three Yurts for families who want to camp and enjoy the area but don't have an RV. They will be nicely appointed. Highly recommend esp in the fall
This is a hidden gem in my backyard. Very scenic. Friendly owners. In fact they started smoking pork yesterday for free dinner tonight for everyone in the campground. They have an outdoor pavilion with a outdoor fireplace and big screen tv mounted above. Football is on and half the park is in there watching the game eating the brick oven pizzas the owner cooked. Me I’m in our camp with a fire between me and a lovely little Mountian Creek. Just sitting here watching the trout rise. 40 mins from our house.
Spent a couple of days in November. Beautiful park, sites, almost all have creek running right behind each site. I would definitely go back.& spend more time there. I feel they were priced a bit high.in comparison with other comparable parks. Their location made it wort it, to me.
Traveling to the Asheville on a Monday, and had not made arrangements for an RV park. I had to pick someone up at the Regional Airport and prior to this had just driven by on the Blue Ridge Parkway. While calling around I found that some of my choices were booked, so I left a message and my call was returned by Gina, who was able to get me a great spot right on the creek/river. What a clean, pretty, well maintained park Kevin and Gina have to offer guests. Wi-Fi is via satellite and both my wife and I need internet while traveling but this was OK. Speeds kind of slow, but for email it was fine. The fall colors were spectacular while we were there and we did some exploring in the quaint little community of Marion, but were only about 35-40 minutes to Asheville. Can't wait to go back and enjoy Mountain Stream again. Thanks Kevin and Gina!!!
We had the pleasure of staying at Mountain Stream RV Park 2 times this fall! We enjoyed ourselves so much that we made reservations before we left for October! The bathhouse is well maintained and the showers are AMAZING! The whole park is kept very very clean! We WILL be visiting again! Kevin and Gena are wonderful and they are always checking to make sure you are happy and if you need anything at all! If you buy wood from them Kevin will even deliver to your site!
We enjoyed our weekend even though it rained. The rv sites are great with view of beautiful creek. Gina and Kevin were friendly and went over the top to help us enjoy our stay, from making barbecue, pizza and big screen tv for football in a great pavilion. Bath houses were clean, site for pets to run and play. The owners have great ideas for upcoming sites, yurts , and fun events like movie nights, etc. we felt very welcome in this park and will definitely go back next year. The rv park is scenic in your drive and close to town. Internet available but since you are in rural area, very hard to get at times, unable to get cell service also. Cable available too.
Great clean campground. So excited to come next year when the tv is up in the shelter
This campground is amazing!! The owners are very friendly and helpful. They make your stay so much more welcoming! The campsites are beautiful- there is not a bad one on the lot!! we loved butting up right to the stream. The sites had a picnic table and fire pit which was great for cooking out and sitting by the fire. Great location to get in to Asheville or take a ride on the Blue Ridge Parkway. The dog park was great for our little 6 pound companion. the pavilion was a fun place for the Saturday night pulled pork dinner provided by the owners. It was a great way for everybody to meet and hang out. Campground is very affordable. There is zero cell service which was actually amazing to disconnect the TV had cable in the pavilion and at your site. 20 minutes away you can get cell service and have access to a Camping World This is definitely a site that We look forward to coming back!
Wow!!! Love this place!!!
Great place to stay, very clean, well kept. So much to see and do in the area. Sites are level, some have decks over the creek, but all are great sites. You can clearly see the owners, Gena and Kevin love what they are doing here. Wi-Fi is not good, but they clearly state that up front. Really, all in all just a great place to stay! I highly recommend, and will return!! Thanks for the borrowing of the ladder Kevin, and the bread!!!
we happened upon this wonderful park on our way back from Hilton Head to Toronto and were thrilled with it! the park has been recently...this year...purchased by Kevin and Gena and they are totally involved and working hard to make the Park even better. We ended up on a very busy weekend getting a spot with a stream running 5 feet away from the back of our Pendleton Airstream...and for those who know that trailer, the entire back opens up to be even closer to the outside. as I said, both Kevin and Gena couldn't do more to make our stay, which we extended wonderful. Directions to the Blue Ridge Parkway which was close, unless you opted to cycle there...5 miles and 45 minutes on the bike...but coming down was a lot quicker!!! they told us the internet was spotty, but it was readily available in town another few miles down the mountain...we didn't miss it at all! loved the pavilion with the terrific TV and sound...great for football and other stuff! great job guys, we will be back...and thanks Kevin for helping to reset the brakes on the trailer and car! Phil and Sue...Aurora
Everything is wonderful... Already booked for next year. Great location... Great people.
Was exactly what we were hoping for. Clean, quiet and beautiful sites along the stream. Booked for future date while there!
Nice campground, Men's showers are setup quirky you have to walk through the first one to get to the second one awkward if the first one is occupied. Overall nice place and we would go back.
We just 2 wonderful weeks here! The stream was amazingly beautiful. The owners Gena and Kevin gracious hosts. The new fireplace in the pavilion is a great addition. Kevin makes wonderful bbq on Sat nites. Highly recommend. ...
Very Quiet and yet there were lots of kids so we loved it! Campsites have optional over the stream decks. Our kids enjoyed playing in the stream building rock sculptures and fishing. A must stay off the Blue Ridge Parkway!
Last minute get away for my wife and I (and our pet goat "Lucy"). Online Reservations were easy and the staff and site were ready when we arrived. Very quiet place - yet people / kids were running and playing too. Saturday FREE Pulled Pork was an awesome surprise and not being from NC, Kevin has nailed it! :) The site says "No Cell Service" and they mean it - wifi is minimal at best --- and that was actually kind of nice for a change! Well maintained, clean and friendly - we will be back!
Not really "RVer's" we have living quarters in our horse trailer ... so an RV Park was a change for us. The sites are VERY well cared for - tables, decks etc. The place is just small enough to be in excellent shape (all facilities are obviously well cared for - so nothing in need of repair). FREE Pulled Pork Dinner gathering on Saturday Nights was fun chance to meet others and gather in the pavilion. No Cell Service and minimal wifi was actually a nice break for us. Would love to come back soon! ---- Web says "minimal wifi" --- don't come here if you cant breathe without your Facebook ... but if you can "rough it" you might actually like being off the grid!
