Mountain Stream RV Park has a multitude of reasons for being so great & here is my opinion on why that is! 1) The OWNERS! Kevin & Gena are AWESOME! Very caring people that actually want you to enjoy your time spent! A true testament of this is their Saturday Night BBQ. Every Saturday they offer "Kevin's BBQ" to all that attend. It's first come- first serve, but on this night it provided enough for everyone! 20+ people showed up! What RV park does that? 2) The GROUNDS! This place is kept at the absolute highest standards. It has well- manicured sites, a well-maintained stream & a fabulous outdoor pavilion. Having impeccable grounds added to our overall relaxed experience for sure! 3) The PROXIMITY! It's close to SO many fun places! We drove the Blue Ridge Pkwy, hiked Linville Falls & made a day trip into Asheville during our 3 night stay. We basically ventured out each day to experience the surroundings, but rushed back each night to enjoy the peacefulness of the park. 4) The OPTIONS! I don't personally own an RV, but this park offers two Travel Trailers that you can RENT! Not only do they offer this option, but soon you'll have the luxury of renting a YURT! That's definitely next for us! Overall, our trip was terrific! Kids loved it. Wife loved it. I loved it. The Park is amazing & we are totally planning on revisiting many times over in the future. I've heard that the owners are just getting started with many renovations, so I'm excited to see what it'll look like when we return! I don't write many reviews, but based on our experience here...... I most certainly wanted to! Book your next getaway here. You won't be mad that you did!
Beautiful location. No complaints. Will come again.
Husband found this RV Park during a internet search booked it just from reviews and pictures. The road getting there is very winding but as long as you take it slow and arrive before dark you shouldn’t have a problem we have a 40ft fifth wheel toy hauler. We stayed on site 2 had great view and access to stream and a new deck with picnic table. Grandkids loved the stream and they were tubing most of the time we were there. The BBQ on Saturday was great really enjoyed it. This is a very nice and clean Rv Park. The only thing was their bathroom/bath house is very outdated! For such a nice place I was shocked about this, it has a very musky smell and stall doors have mold/mildew on them, no air in there either. Was a great place to disconnect, no cellphone service which was totally fine for us. Will come again and bring our motorcycles so many good roads to ride.
This is the best RV Park we visit. Kevin and Gina go well above and beyond. The grounds are impeccable. I would advise anyone to give them a try. The creek running through the property is a great place for kids to play and do some low risk tubing.
This is one of the nicest rv parks we have been to. The park is clean, well maintained and beautiful. Having a stream running right behind you site is awesome. This park is located very close to the blue ridge parkway and you have quick access to Ashville, chimney rock and a host of other places. The owners were there on sight and always helpful. They have a barbecue dinner every Saturday for all campers (get there early!) The road up to the campground is very winding and twisting road but don't let that deter you. I made in and out with a 42 ft 5th wheel just fine.
This is the best campground around. It is the best next thing to heaven just as it states. We were on site #1. Enjoyed every minute of our time there. Friendly campers and Kevin and Gena are great “friends”. Looking forward to our September trip.
We love it here! Will definitely be back next year! One of our new favorites to camp at!
Fantastic place! Beautiful and the most friendly people own/run it. We really enjoyed our week at Mountain Stream and would definitely recommend. Ps... they have great breads and sauces for sale in the camp store!
This is a 10 Star facility. There is not enough good things to say about this RV Park. Privately owned by a couple that truly have their heart and soul into it. Beautifully landscaped, each site is unique. Most are along the gorgeous mountain stream. Some have decks out over the stream. Full hookup, cable TV and wi-fi. The wi-fi is spotty due to them being up in the mountains and having to rely upon satellite, but there is not better excuse to not use the Internet because this campground and the surrounding area has plenty to do. Want to try camping, they have a brand new, fully equipped 2018 Imagine camper that you can rent. Camper not your thing, try a Yurt. They have three new Yurts being finished right now. Each like a hotel room in the campground. The owners do a barbecue for all of the campers every Saturday night.
We stayed at Mountain Stream for a week in early June. The park is beautiful, peaceful, and small. This was our first visit but will certainly not be our last. This is a great home base for making day trips to Ashville, Waynesville, Hendersonville, etc. Make sure you have time to stay at the park and enjoy the stream. Kevin, the owner, smokes pork and makes BBQ on Saturday night! You don’t want to miss this. The last 6-7 miles are narrow and curvy. Take it slow and easy and you won’t have a problem.
Absolutely amazing! Sadly only got to spend one night there, but WOW, what a beautiful place! Peaceful, great surroundings and a tremendous staff. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Will be back.
This was our first visit to the park and after the first day we were discussing when we would return and begin marking the sites that we would prefer. This is one of the nicest we have stayed in. We were in site #10 along the river and we had more room to the side of our camper than some sites and would stay in 10 again. Plus this site had several stream side trees for hammocks. The road up was narrow at times and some of the reviews related to the larger class A and Bus RV's could be 'sporty'. We are a pop-up so size wasn't an issue and we could enjoy the sound of the stream all night. No cell service at all but the wi-fi was adequate for 2 teenagers. Kevin and Gena were great and very informative about things to do in the area and I would recommend the Emerald Village as they did, tons of fun and for $35 mixed bucket, don't freak out, you get good unfinished gems, like lots and some are big! Also, lunch at the Switzerland Café was delicious. You can tell that they are constantly making improvements to the park and were improving landscaping when we were there. I would love to see a bath house renovation soon but they weren't bad at all and they were very clean but being in a pop-up we use them more than most. On Saturday night, Kevin’s pulled pork is delicious and it was an enjoyable group and there were a LOT of sides!
Loved it. Beautiful, quite and clean. Owners are very, very friendly and helpful.
It is a small, well kept place. All but a couple of the sites are by the stream and it is so relaxing and peaceful. The owners were helpful with directions to the attractions near there and a couple of suggestions on where to eat in Marion and Little Switzerland. If you do not mind driving about 5 miles up a curvy road it is totally worth the stay. We were in a 28’ motorhome, towing an SUV and did just fine. Would definitely stay here again.
Top notch rv park. Beautiful sites, family owned. Very nice, caring people.
Excellent campground. And I mean it. Very friendly folks own it, run it, and clientele is also friendly and helpful. Great place to unplug if you want, and relax all you want.
Very nice campground! The area is very well kept with beautiful landscaping and is easy to park your RV. We had site 17 that had a deck on the creek that flow along most of the sites. The owners Serve barbecue pork on Saturday evenings at 6p, great time to visit with other campers. We loved it! It’s quiet and worth a trip a visit. We felt we need to mention that the last 4.5mi on Highway 80 to the campground has a lot of sharp turns so you will need to take it slow. Enjoy.
Fantastic, well maintained, campground in the mountains. Picturesque creek surrounds the campground. Great place for kids and dogs. New owners have made many upgrades including real WIFI...
