Omg we came here off a suggestion from Google. Man the food was clean fresh and we'll cooked. Full of flavor and the drinks are very tasty. We will definitely be back.
Good food. Busy place!
Very good service very good
My wife and I were recently on a business trip to Williamsburg , Va. FOOD FOR THOUGHT was recommended by an associate. We are so happy that we took the recommendation. When we arrived the parking lot was full(a good sign!) but there was considerable overflow parking. The restaurant and particularly the bathrooms where spotless. The entire building was at a comfortably cool temperature. The menus featured various selections from all walks of culinary styles including ample selections of vegetarian and gluten free. We had the delicious and highly recommended mussels for an appetizer and our entrees were a Caesar salad with Grilled Filet Mignon and Baked Cod. The portions were large, well prepared and delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant and if given an opportunity, we will visit again. PS. Our waitress was a delightful young woman from Jamaica who made our brief visit quite enjoyable through her attentiveness and beautiful smile. Her name was Novia, I believe.
Excellent food and service, especially for the price!
Went here for lunch and really enjoyed it. Our server was exceptional and he really made the experience. The food is solid. The lime flavored grilled chicken is very tasty and I got it with a side of asparagus, which was cooked just right. We also tried the crab cakes, which are made the right way - with crab meat and a small amount of breading, and not much else. No green peppers, onions, or any of that other stuff that has no place in a crab cakes. For dessert, we tried the apple nachos, which were excellent. Apples, fried dough ("nachos"), ice cream, and honey (the secret ingredient that made this really special). The restaurant appears to have been recently remodeled, with an upscale appearance and clever quotes and posters all over the walls. Overall it was a very enjoyable experience.
Busy and food was great.
Excellent food and service. We will return the next time we’re in the area.
Wow...great food. The roast beef was perfect! Bread was amazing, must have been fresh!
Fantastic place. Love the theme of thought and philosophy. The service ( Ian ) was amazing. Not from the area but was compelled to give this review. Will definitely be returning.
You gotta try the Beyond Burger you won't regret the $14 price tag
Excellent service by our server ~ Angel. We had 17 people in our party, all of our food came out at the Same time. Hot and delicious!! Highly recommend going here!!!
This place is fantastic! So good, in fact, we visited two days in a row. In the area there is no lack of pancake houses, but we wanted something a little different. This place nailed it! Fresh squeezed OJ that you could practically chew, great coffee and a complimentary order of warm, fresh and delicious beignets was enough to sell me. On day one I tried the banana Nutella crepe. Divine. The crepe was tender and buttery and the side of bacon was crisp in the most perfect way. Husband stuck to a traditional egg platter, but the eggs were cooked properly and the grits were outstanding. So much so that he made me taste them (I’m a Northerner with no palate for grits—now converted). Our grandson enjoyed fluffy buttermilk pancakes with REAL Vermont maple syrup (major bonus points — again, Northerner). Our waitress was super friendly and attentive, and knew the menu well. We received a coupon for 5% off return visit, which was great, but we didn’t need it because we already knew we’d come back. And we did! On day two, this non-grits gal chose the country fried steak and mushroom crumpet Benedict with fresh fruit and delicious grits as the sides. Husband chose the sausage gravy and fried grit cakes. Must have been aaah-mazing, because he never made a peep. His face said it all! Seriously, he LOVED it. We had the same waitress by chance and she remembered us, asked about our visit so far and was just as friendly as the day before. On both days we had a table visit from the owner (who also remembered us and thanked us for returning). I also saw him bussing tables - nothing like a leader who jumps in and works alongside. Other staff (hostess, servers) were just as friendly which made the overall experience that much better. Add to all this a cool concept with a lot of inspirational quotes, conversation cards at the tables and quaint decor, and it was just a wonderful place. We love Williamsburg and are repeat visitors, so I can’t wait to come back and try this place for lunch or dinner!! Yum. Just YUM!!!
I am vegan and they had multiple fantastic vegan dishes for me to choose from. My carnivore boyfriend also loved his steak and crab meal. I highly recommend this restaurant!!
We are here a few weeks ago while on vacation from Ohio to go to Busch Gardens, and this is hands down one of the best places I’ve eaten countrywide. We’re coming back here every time we travel through. We had Michael G as a server and he was GREAT. Complimented me on my shirt and talked about a ton of interesting stuff with us. Definitely eat here!!!
EXCELLENT!!! Great food, FANTASTIC service! Owner on site ❤ LOVE small business!!!
Fun environment and fantastic food!
Absolutely delicious. I highly recommend the caprese salad and their amazing ribs. Definetely would come again.
The service is awesome and sincere. Food is too tasty for words! The sayings posted throughout the restaurant are thought provoking. We will be back!
Very delicious meals I got the shrimp po boy. My mom got the jerk chicken and cilantro chicken. My dad got the haddock. We all were so happy with our meals. The manager walked around and checked up on every other guest making sure top service was present. They have "thought cards" on the table for opinions and conversation starters. EXCELLENT PLACE FOR A FIRST DATE. they have delicious cocktails also, I had the bourbon blueberry mojito. DELICIOUS.
