Refreshing atmosphere and fresh, wholesome food!
Breakfast was pretty good.
Perfect place to just relax with great food and drinks.
Saw the reviews on Google, thought maybe we would try it out and definitely had our doubts that there is no way it could be "that good". Yah we were completely wrong. This restaurant is amazing! Their service is being what I'm normally used to. The waiter was very kind, answered all questions with a smile, manager came by and checked on us and asked how our experience was. Food was so so good! I'd eat here all the time if I lived in Williamsburg, but we came for honeymoon . We made an amazing memory at this restaurant, and even bought glasses from them for or house. Two nice glasses for ale for 3.75 each, which we could not believe how cheap it was. I've been in the restaurant business for years and managed multiple locations. To achieve what this restaurant has is nothing short of perfection . Whether you're a family with kids, or Honeymooners like us. You'll be greeted with a smile and leave with a wonderful experience .
Great food, good service, really cool atmosphere
Every time we come to Williamsburg this is a MUST - DO. We come for the grass-feed meat which is near impossible to find.
Although there was a wait for a table it was only 20 minutes. They have a bar option offering a full menu possibly with no wait. Service was attentive and quick. There was a nice variety of menu options. I ordered the ribs and they were falling off the bones delicious with a tasty sauce. Definitely a good choice for dinner.
Had breakfast here on a Sunday morning. There were lots of interesting menu options, and all the food was excellent. The free beignets were a nice touch too. Plan to arrive early though because by 10 AM there was a line out the door waiting for a table.
We went here on a friends recommendation. The wait staff was superb and first asked if anyone had any allergies to anything. He explained that his question was to make sure that if we did that they took extra care to make sure that there was no cross contamination in the kitchen. He explained that they would take every measure to prevent this from happening. The next step was to take our order and bring our drinks. While we waited on our food they brought us some of there delish homemade bread for us to enjoy. This consisted of cornbread and homemade rolls. Both were delicious. When the food arrived it looked great. I had ordered the pot roast sandwitch. It was a homemade sandwitch bun covered with slow cooked pot roast covering the bottom of the bun. I also had a side of baked beans. The taste was outstanding this was so tender it had to have been cooking all day it was so tender. My wife had gotten the meatloaf which I tried and was equally as good. My daughter got the chicken plate which she loved. It was all so good we had to go back again later in the week. Everyone was so nice and kept us satisfied all during our meal. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are in Williamsburg and like good homemade food.
Recommended by a friend we stopped for lunch on the weekend. The hosted said our wait for a table would be 35+ minutes, and handed us us a pager which would sound when they could seat us. Within 10 minutes it went off and we were seated. The menu is features standards like meatloaf and fish and chips, plus innovative fare like the California BLT with bacon, lettuce, tomato and a slice of avocado. The bar features some very good craft beers on draft. At one point in our meal, one of the managers came to our table asking if we were happy with the food and the service.
We enjoyed this place so much! From the rolls and sweet potato cornbread to the ribs, mashed potatoes, asparagus, and the spicy shrimp appetizer! It was all so good, we went back the next day for the stuffed squash and fish and chips. Thank you for helping to make our trip from Florida to Williamsburg, VA, even more enjoyable after visiting Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown and Yorktown! Vianca and Ardis(sp) were great and very attentive!
Great service and very good food
Delicious food, friendly staff, and a great place for dinner!
Always love the food, ambience, and experience.
Great find. Breakfast was delicious. We will definitely be back. Portions are very generous, so you won’t leave hungry.
Found this restaurant on the web, had excellent reviews & they were all right. Food & service were outstanding. A bread basket comes with each meal, so delicious. We were just traveling through but it was so good, we stopped twice. For dinner, be both had the pot roast, so tender & tasty & a lot of it, one of their signature dishes, it’s a must have. Lots of inspirational quotes at your table & as decorations. I highly recommend!
A little pricey, but not too bad. Went during vacation to Williamsburg recently based on the Trip advisor reviews. Service was great, waitress very friendly! Owner came to the table to introduce himself, and gave us a great tip to mix the tomatoes in the humous appetizer we had; we loved it! The atmosphere is very interesting. They were very busy, which attests for the popularity of this unique diner! Food was very good, and I'd highly recommend you give it s try. We'll definitely come again the next time we visit Williamsburg!
Food was delicious prices are great
I took my 80+ year old parents for an early dinner here based on the reviews I read. We absolutely loved it! The food was excellently prepared, the atmosphere is quaint and elegant but yet comfortably casual. The waitress was kind and pleasant. The owner came to our table and introduced himself and asked how our food was. I noticed he made his way to each table while we were there. I had the chicken combo- jerk chicken and cilantro lime chicken with mashed potatoes and asparagus, it was all excellent. My father had the crab cakes and loved them. We shared the bread pudding for dessert, my Dad said it was the best he has ever had. We also shared the hummus as an appetizer, it was very good as well. Highly recommend this place, a great find!!
