I've visited many different sushi restaurants but Sushi Sake was the most amazingly great sushi bar I've ever eaten at! The customer service was over the top amazing. I had the pork pot stickers, the sushi b, volcano roll, and tempura ice cream. Hands down the best sushi, pot stickers, and I've cream I've ever had! This will ruin all other sushi places that I have visited/will visit in the future!
If you like sushi, this is the place! Very busy so arrive early and have your full party all together. Sitting at the sushi bar was great.
Fresh. Freshest ever. Excellent rice. Omg
Always great food. I love this place!
When you go to sushi sake, should try beef tong. You won’t regret! Also, my friend showed me how to order sushi!! Should see the board and check what kind of fresh fish is available. One secret menu is salmon+ miso paste+torched. It will melt in your mouth. Price is reasonable. Fresh fish 🐟 price about $150 for two people. Great atmosphere🍣
Good place for large groups- we go here for large family dinners. Fish was fresh.
Terrific ambiance and food.
Great sushi, great prices, excellent services! I'll be back for sure :)
I have one criterion for giving 5-star reviews for sushi restaurants: the sushi has to be better than I can make at home. And sadly, that was not true for Sushi Sake. It may sound like I’m super picky about my sushi, and, well, I am, mostly because most nigiri is easy to make as long as you have high quality fish. This is where I felt like Sushi Sake fell short. We ordered a standard assortment to start: tuna (maguro), fatty tuna (otoro). salmon, flounder, yellowtail, mackerel, a salmon skin roll and a spider roll. I spotted trouble with my first piece (maguro), which had a distinct fishy odor and turned out to be a bit light on flavor — definitely not what you want from tuna. I moved on to the other pieces, saving the toro sand mackerel for last. The toro was OK but also a little short on flavor. The mackerel, however, was seriously disappointing: it was very fishy and not pickled enough. The fishiness comes from being not fresh enough, but the pickling is something the chef can control — and it’s key to eliminating the fishy taste in mackerel. The rolls were OK by unremarkable. I definitely make a better salmon skin roll at home. The spider roll was decent but neither warm enough nor crunchy enough. Maybe the crab sat around for too long between frying and being put in the roll? We followed up with some targeted picks from the blackboard: amberjack, golden-eye snapper, and Japanese mackerel. We liked the snapper (kinmedai) but we’re underwhelmed by the amberjack (kampachi). Worst, it turned out that they were out of the mackerel (shime saba), which is something I really wanted to try. We finished with eel (unagi) and salt-water eel (anago). My whole family loves unagi but we rarely see anago on a menu so this was a nice treat. On the whole, I would give Sushi Sake 5 stars for the wider-than-normal variety of fish they offer, but 4 stars for nigiri quality and 3 stars for their rolls. Their sake selection was good and I loved the night’s special pick. I though the service was unremarkable and the prices a bit on the high side but not wildly high. So: 4 stars overall.
Awesome sushi, great Sake selection, perfect Japanese atmosphere. Loved this place. Will visit again next time in in Dallas!
Food was great.... delicious, although pricy. I liked the ambiance. Restroom was clean. They will not seat until the whole party was complete and you can't add more people after you have been seated.
Amazing experience of quality sushi with clean cuts and
Honestly I'm surprised. Just randomly stopped for a quick lunch and ended up having some of the best sushi I've had in Texas. I wish I could have afforded more. I would have tried everything. Definitely sit at the bar and watch the amazing knife skills.
Some of the best sushi around if you're 8n the Dallas area and feeling adventurous!
I vote Sushi Sake the best sushi in Dallas. Have been everywhere. Excellent experience. I recommend sitting at the bar. You won't be disappointed.
Excellent sushi and service but expensive. Becareful on what you get, you can easily drop $100 here.
Great service; excellent food!
Well worth going to this place!
Not sure how the $$ is established but it should be $$$. With that said the sushi is very good. I would have given it 5 stars if it were truely a $$ sushi place.
