Jane Bakes Cookies
A bit expensive but a great place for a quick buy.
Convenient location, excellent sandwich options, expansive beer selection, quality bakery options, and most importantly the produce is fresh. Cheese options are a little expensive in my opinion.
Had lunch from the buffet...great meal!
Foodcellar Market has got lots of products including for vegan. The hot & cold salad bar is fabulous. You won't be disappointed. Check them out if you leave in LIC. By the way they have two locations.
I go here for lunch nearly every day. Diverse selection of food whether it's groceries or lunch from the food bars. Fast service and (mostly) kind staff. The hot food bar is over priced -- my veggies and rice costs $12 and it's not an overloaded container.
I live in LIC on Center Blv, so Foodcellar is my go to supermarket. Overall I rate this market 4 stars as it has a decent quality/price mix if compared with other supermarkets in Manhattan (I'll explain later why I compare to Manhattan). Quality: Foodcellar offers a pretty wide selection of international high hand products. I am Italian and I have found here real Italian pasta, sauce, or other goods from real Italian brands. In addition to the supermarket products, Foodcellar includes also a pizzeria, fresh meat, fresh fish (although the quality of the fish is not that great as I've often seen products kept there for a week or so). The fruit market is also good and offers a big range of products between fresh fruits and vegetables (and the quality is pretty good). One complain is that I have been finding expired products by time to time. To be honest this is something that I have found to be pretty common for US supermarket and I usually look for expiration date for this reason. However, I think an high end supermarket (I actually think all supermarket) should pay very strong attention to this. Price: Foodcellar is in an area of LIC which is pretty new and high hand and so expensive (comparable to Manhattan in terms of rent). As such, I will evaluate Foodcellar in comparison with Manhattan prices. This being said, considering the quality that it offers, prices at Foodcellar are decent. Pretty often I've found prices being assigned randomly. For example there is a cheese that I usually get and its price can be sensibly different from a week to another (about 4 or 5$ difference on a small piece of cheese). Good plus is that they do deals pretty often on good products. Overall, my evaluation is good. There are some development areas such as making sure to take out expired products, don't change prices randomly, or don't let be 1 month before to re-order a product. However, this is a good supermarket with decent prices and good products.
Great supermarket in LIC. Higher prices, but their selection makes up for that.
Great variety ♡♡♡♡♡
Good local market with great service.
Better than Whole Foods in my eyes. Has best of both worlds: Organic and non-organic
Very organized. Clean..wide selections of various food products..amazing helpful staff
Supermercado bellísima con productos esquicitos.
Food is so good there. I love food cellar.
Fresh food a little pricey, only supermarket in the area
Would like to be a (pre-Amazon) Whole Foods.
Good selection, but a little pricey.
I moved into the neighborhood recently and was delighted to find a large supermarket that also included a buffet and tables to sit at! It's also right next to the Duane Reade so you have all you need.
