Best brisket I've ever had! So much flavor and so tender! I'm a BBQ fanatic and this is one of the best for all around BBQ in Texas for sure! Wonderful staff, one of the pit masters "made" me try a burnt end of brisket before I ordered anything. Needless to say, he convinced me to order the brisket. I also ordered a 1/4lb of everything so that I can sample all of it. Everything was good, but that brisket was to die for! Very "antique" atmosphere (fitting as they're located next to an antique shop). Large facility with plenty of sitting room.
As soon as I walked in I could smell the sweet & strong smell of 70 years' worth of hickory smoke. I got there about 2pm, the line was short. The man in front of me got the last beef rib. After we nearly came to blows, I settled for BBQ Nirvana in the form of 1lb. moist brisket. I was even blessed to receive the burnt end, best meat there is to a Texas BBQ connoisseur as myself. The meat had a pepper crust that was perfect, the meats fat was perfectly rendered to a melt in your mouth point. This place is an unworldy experience. Pray to the BBQ Gods you can make it to this smoked meat Mecca in quaint Taylor, Texas. Wayne Mueller even photobombed me. Doesn't get any better folks. A+
Absolutely the best bbq ever!!! THE BEST!
Great briscuit. The 1/2 pint is plenty for one person. Best briscuit I've ever had. There was a few minutes wait, but well worth it. A little expensive compared to other BBQ places but the prices are listed so no surprises. Got a pic where unbeknownst to us Wayne Mueller was in the background doing a peace sign photobomb (attached)
Very very good food
The interior is awesome. The people here are real friendly. The brisket will melt in your mouth. The sweet tea was perfect. All in all an excellent tx bbq experience.
Hands down best smoked meats and bangin sausages WOW!!!! The new add on space looks awesome!!!
$82 for two people, and totally worth it. We visited from out of state and decided on brisket, sausage, and of course, a GIANT Fred Flintstone size beef rib. By far the best brisket I've ever had, and the beef rib is something that I will be day dreaming about in lushious beefy stuper for months to come.
Had lunch here the other day for my first time visiting Taylor TX, awesome BBQ!!! The service by Jason was outstanding.
Amazing! I would say this place is better than Franklins in Austin. Shorter wait time and their brisket as well as beef rib aka john wayne on a stick was super moist and seasoned perfectly. This is definitely my spot from here on out! Keep up the great work!
Make sure be prepared for the meat coma. Good stuff, not pretentious. The lingering aroma of smoked meats has apparently soaked into the wood. Busy but not overwhelming.
Had a great lunch with The Mrs.
Very good. Historic place
Yup. Worth the drive. Unique brisket. Best pork rib I've ever had. Pay $30 for the beef rib. You won't regret it.
A country drive 40 minutes north from Austin. The family knows it's BBQ.
Glad we had the opportunity to enjoy our lunch here today!!
Holy Cow. Best Brisket I've ever eaten.
Beef ribs are a must try. Brisket is excellent!
