So... First off, I have lived in the south all of my life. I imagine that this place is the closest to NOLA as you can be without being in Louisiana. From etouffee to boudin balls, gator bites, and true New Orleans draught beer. This place was top notch amazing! Food was AMAZING! Drinks were AWESOME! Service was superb and atmosphere made me feel like I was sitting on Burbon Street! I will be back every time I am in Charleston!
Great food all space
Great food, frendly service 👍
Best seafood in Charleston. Jeff is awesome!
Great atmosphere even better food. That made our Valentine’s Day one to remember. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for good seafood. One of the best experiences I’ve had this year. ❤️
Lovely atmosphere. Outdoor seating is great! The food is great! The service was fantastic! Will definitely be back.
LoLA is incredible and one of my favorite places in Charleston. The muffaletta is one of my favorites (grilled or cold, both awesome) and even the darn caeser salad is extremely good, with homemade croutons and dressing (you go ahead and splurge on those scallop, okay?). The service is always friendly and attentive and the draft list is a variety of local and interesting brews. The inside is tiny, so if it's a cold day, you may have to wait a minute for a table, but it'll be worth it!
Went here tonight, we sat at the community table, made for a great evening and conversation. Met a couple down from Toronto Canada. We ordered gator bites, crab cakes and the scallops. And a couple of Abitas. The scallops on risotto was spot on. Get the gator bites with remoulade sauce.
Everything we ate was delicious!!! Fried oysters, catfish bites, collard greens, crawfish mac & cheese - all yummy!!! Peach old fashioned was yummy, too!!!
The etouffee here is amazing!
Food was amazing, look forward to going again
The food is awesome, the gumbo can be a little spicier, but it's still good.
Cozy place, very good food, ample, but pricey. Gator bites are terrific!
It was a beautiful day, so we chose to sit outside. Our waitress was nice and helped us with our choices. The food was ready pretty quick and it was delicious. We had Cajun fish and chips. It was seasoned, but not too spicy. I also tried a new cider, Cidre by Stella Artois. It was so good, refreshing but not too sweet. I am looking forward to my next visit already.
Awesome food, great place to hangout and the service was outstanding.
Best Cajun food outside Louisiana
This small joint packs a punch! Excellent food and beverage choices!
Great food, good beer selection, and great food.
