I have been here twice. Great place to dine. Loved the live piano, excellent stake and wine and overall service from the staff. Highly recommend this restaurant for fine dining.
Bice was fabulous. Generally the service was excellent (one night just a little slow, and no service at the bar while we waited for our table). We went in a fairly quiet week, although one night was busy and a reservation was essential. Spritz yummy; wines by the glass good and generous. Everything we ate was great, but the strozzapreti with sausage ragu was truly divine. Make note - I am about to email you for the recipe!!
We had another splendid dinner at Bice. The restaurant is beautiful and the food is to die for. Our Italian waiter gave us a 5 stars service. Can't wait to go back!! Bellissimo
To start off with this review is five stars due to the fantastic service. Alex was wonderful, very attentive, precise and thoughtful. The food was good, we didn't have a lot just a few appetizers, tiramisu and wine. The outdoor dining with a view of the bay was great!
Really pretty area, the restaurant has great food. We had a selected menu for the event we attended. The staff were great and attentive. I had a small hiccup with my meal and they were very apologetic and wanted to do whatever to make it right.
Myself and my boyfriend visited this restaurant for the first time and we will can 100% say we will be back! The food is very authentic and has good portion sizes. There is a good selection of pasta, fish and red meat and to accompany these dishes was a great variety of wines. The staff are amazing here very helpful and attentive and little did I know that they knew that my boyfriend was going to propose to me there so when he did we received a free home made carrot cake and vanilla gelato which was lovely of them to do that. The settings that surround BiCE really do make you feel like your in another country just looking out onto a lake! It really is picturesque and has a very nice feel to it! I would recommend anyone to come here it really is like your in Italy in a authentic restaurant.
I booked a table to celebrate my FIL's 80th birthday for 9 of us, ages 10-80. Our table was right next to the pianist and with tile floors and tall ceilings, it was so loud we were unable to have a decent conversation! The service was great but very slow (not the wait staff's fault) but it was difficult to get their attention to order or ask for anything. The homemade pasta was so good. The Venison and rack of lamb was on the dry side and overcooked even though we asked for medium (there was no pink). We would definitely go back but do things differently- be seated in back of restaurant, as most customers were (did they know something we didn't?), ask for meat medium rare, and order for younger kids right away. We're all tired from being at the park all day and don't need to spend 2 hours at dinner. Also, as this restaurant is not owned by the hotel, if you use your room key card, they will have to call the front desk for approval. That took nearly 10 minutes.
Wow! Once again, impressed. Last night was one of the most amazing dining experiences we’ve ever had. Balcony with opera, brought our Moms, wine and all the yummy food from this great place. Thanks again BICE for helping make our vacations amazing. Whether or not you’re staying at Portifino make a point to visit this gem. As an NBCUniversal employee we come to the park a couple times a year and we will never miss a chance to dine at BICE.
Beautiful space with high ceilings and elegant lighting. White jacketed waiters, long wine list, the whole fine dining experience. If you like the Palm restaurants you will probably like it here. We had a very nice experience albeit pricey. Would definitely return. My only suggestions is they use a different purveyor for their veal. Not up to BiCE standards.
We spent Thanksgiving week at Portofino Bay and Universal theme parks. I reserved our Thanksgiving dinner at Bice about a month in advance. The reservation process was easy and they contacted me a few days prior to confirm the reservation. This restaurant is located in the East Wing of Loew's Portofino Bay resort. You can take the stairs to the third floor from the outside or there is an elevator in the East Wing. We decided to go all out for Thanksgiving dinner because our kids had never been to a really nice restaurant before. We arrived at 530pm and were seated promptly. Our servers were amazing. Polite, professional, and knowledgeable about the menu. We ordered the Antipasto all’Italiana which was a selection of assorted cured meats and imported cheeses served with olives for an appetizer. It was very good. They had a special dinner menu which included a traditional Thanksgiving dinner but we all decided to go with the Italian this night. I ordered the Cappellaccio al brasato di manzo which is pasta stuffed with braised Beef short rib, served with fresh mushrooms Marsala Cream sauce. It was superb. My wife had the Cannelloni gratinate which was oven baked Cannelloni stuffed with Buffalo Mozzarella and Ricotta, served with marinara and Basil Pesto. She loved it. My son had the Agnolotti con ripieno di scampi e granchio which is Agnolotti stuffed with shrimp and crab meat in a Lobster and prawns sauce. He was very impressed. My 11 year old daughter is somewhat more picky and had mozzarella sticks from the kids menu. For dessert we had the Homemade Classic Tiramisu cake with mascarpone cheese and Espresso soaked Ladyfinger Cookies. Amazing! My wife and I each had a glass of red wine. I do not remember the brand but it was recommended to us by our waiter. It was also great. I have no complaints. We were there for about 1.5 hours and we did not feel rushed. We dressed up for the evening but there were folks there in regular clothes as well. I am glad we arrived early and had a reservation because it filled up quickly. Would definitely go back.
Great meal, we started with the Calamari and bruschetta both very good and big portions, my wife had the carbonara I had the wagu steak both cooked perfectly. If you have room left, try to squeeze in the Crème brûlée. We took the water taxi from our hotel Loews Royal Pacific a great evening and atmosphere. The price is definitely on the high side @$170 each with decent bottle of wine, but seriously worth it if that’s the one meal you will spoil yourselves with.
The food was amazing! Definitely would recommend to anyone looking for a fantastic Italian meal in Orlando. The service we had was nothing short of exceptional, from the front to back of house, everyone treated us like royalty!
Everything was FANTASTIC on the night we spent at Nice with our family. The kids loved their steaks, my wife was blown away by the agnolotti and I loved the ossobuco. Service was attentive, courteous and never intrusive. A beautiful family night in a fantastic place.
We dined at Bice last night.Everything was perfect, food, wine choices and, most of all, the service. The Wagyu Tartare, cappellaccio and Lamb are to die for! I highly recommend it!
so fancy !! beautiful , the food is really good
Bice has a great atmosphere with fantastic food. Our server was very attentive and helpful in food selection. I had pasta with lobster and crab in it, which was an excellent choice. This is definitely a must-go-to if you are in Orlando.
We booked at Bice for a family dinner for my husbands birthday. Excellent service. Food was tasty, the ambiance great. Live pianist played and was not too noisy - we were able to talk without having to compete with the music or noise from other guests. It is on the pricey side but for special occasions definitely worth it.
My wife and I are here last night Large nicely presented restaurant (my wife found the ac a bit cold) Excellent friendly service Food was pretty good My tuna tartare entree was nice and my Tournedos Rossini (they don’t call it Tournedos Rossini but that’s the dish in essence) was fine - the mignon was a decent piece of meat cooked to medium perfectly, the froi gras needed flashing in a pan (too wet for my taste) and I couldn’t detect the truffle in the mashed potatoes Emma’s gnocchi sorrentina was good My only real gripe was I spent 30 bucks on a glass (not bottle) of Brunello and it came out way way too cold - killed the flavour I did flag this and they brought me out another complimentary glass of red whilst the brunello warmed up / breathed (I ended up decanting the latter into the empty glass when I’d drink the comp glass! I’d honestly say the replacement wine ended up being better (I’m sure it wasn’t 30 dollars either) but a minor blip on a good evening
