Full bar with excellent drinks. Food is good too.
My wife's favorite date night restaurant.
I love Taix...( it's prononced "Tex") it's so comforting sitting in the carpeted bar drinking martinis with olives and ordering food off the menu while sitting in upholstered chairs with arms that are on wheels. You dine on round tables with placemats and baskets of bread. It's like a trip back to the 70's suberbia but it's not. It's now and it's Taix.
Great soup and bread
A classic French restaurant that has been there forever and has a good variety of various Foods.
I love this place excellent food and nice waiter💯

Excellent food, good service, nice ambiance.
Love this place......c'est bon!!!
This place is amazing
Very good service and high quality food. The ambiance is very high end; this is an old school fine dining establishment. Prices are somewhat high, but can highly recommended.
An institution. Try the French onion soup.
As someone who enjoys international cuisine, French is somewhat of a rarity, even in a place such as Los Angeles. Upon discovering Taix, I was not disappointed by its charming image, both outside and the interior, fancy, yet not overblown to discourage the non-wealthy. When most of us think of ratatouille, the award-winning animated film by Disney-Pixar comes to mind. It served as a confident for me to try the real fare of ratatouille that Taix provides. The results were beyond expectations, in a delightful mix of vegetables, with a touch of sauce and seasonings that provided a fantastic blend of healthy taste and stimulating pleasure senses. A wonderful testament to the culinary arts that come from French cooking, simple, but one of the most satisfying experiences in my life of international cuisine. 4.5 out of 5 stars for the Taix, not due to any direct lack of perfection, but to always strive for greatness. With perfection, there is no more progress. But a vote of confidence is given, with the uttermost thanks to the chefs and staff of Taix for providing delightful fare that honours the integrity of true French cuisine.
One of L.A.s oldest and best............worth ever penny
Great food and service, super European, no hurry just enjoy the moment...
Everytime I go it's great. Lots of flies all around though the reason i didn't give it 5 stars.
Always a favorite
The service and food was excellent. After being seated, a bread basket was brought out to us. After we ate two pieces of bread, another basket was brought out and the other basket, which still four pieces of bread, was taken away. We asked for help with the wine, and received help picking out the perfect wine. The wine prices were very reasonable and the suggested wine was excellent. I had the caesar salad and my husband had the wedge salad. Both salads were fresh with the perfect amount of dressing, not too much, but not too little. The blue cheese dressing was filled with lots of chunks of blue cheese. I had the burger and fries which was more than one person could eat. The burger was good and the fries were great (fried and salted perfectly). My husband had the cassoulet which he said was one of the best he has ever had incuding the ones he had in France. We don't usually order dessert, but we loved the food so much so far, we decided to see what they had to offer. My husband had the pear tartlet and I had the brie and fruit. Both were excellent. Aside from the excellent food, the services was outstanding as well. Our waitress was attentive and helpful as well as the lady who helped us with our wine selections. We were also impressed with the prices of the food as well as the prices of the wine. The entire meal was very reasonably priced. We were very pleased with our first visit to Taix and plan to return when we are in LA again.
