We tried 2 types of steam buns (pork belly and braised beef) - they were both delicious! We also tried the beef pho which was good but we've definitely had better. Would like to come back and try the banh mi and their rice dishes. The service is great and super friendly. We definitely felt very welcome!
Good Bahn Mi place. But not great. The tater tots seem like a weird add on, but they're tater tots, so not complaining. Kind of like a dead Roostar.
Yum yum yum
Darn tasty bahn mi and bao. Try the roasted veggies.
Small but perfect menu. Pork belly steamed buns are the best in town!
The people are always friendly. The pork belly bahn mi is on point. The meat is very flavorful and tender, and the bread has the right balance of crispy and fluffy. When you order a bahn mi, it comes with their delicious house cottage fries. They are basically small round hashbrowns, served with a flavorful "spicy" mayo dip. I always order a vietnamese coffee (here is it very strong and sweet). If you are in a hurry, you can also call in your order or order online. Great local place, stop in and check it out.
I love this place. Not traditional but super delicious.
Great food.. No visible parking in front but more around the back
I am partial to their rice boxes, the roasted veggies were a pleasant surprise the first time I ordered one. Don't be fooled by the three parking spaces in front, there is an ample parking behind the building.
Love this spot! Delicious turmeric fish! Lovely roasted veggies! Fantastic picked veggies!
Attractive plate presentation and good food. I had a plate of pork and rice. The pork was flavorful, and had a good mix of carmalized sauce and fat. The rice was really flavorful, and tasted aromatic but not overwhelming. I think maybe they used pho seasoning, but I'm not sure. It came with a salad, which was adorned with pickles; the acidic juice from the pickles trickled down to create the perfect dressing. The acid balanced the plate really well. It costs around 10 dollars a head to eat there.
Roasted vegetables were out of this world delicious. Generous portion. Banh Mi is on point.
Everything is excellent
Food is fresh and delicious and the owner is so nice! Highly recommend the pork rib rice box.
Wow! This is my favorite Vietnamese food place in Austin. Everything is awesome. I love Pho and the Buns here. Staffs are nice as well.
The rice boxes are really good. Pho is on point considering this as a fusion place. The pork belly in the baos are very fatty. I mean 50% of the meat piece is fat. Service is meh. The lady at the register seemed not happy to have customers LOL.
Great place... small, quiet and the pho was great!! Ready to go back. Highly reccomended
The banh mi was absolutely delicious. The pork belly was mouthwatering and was cooked perfectly. That being said it was probably the most expensive banh mi I've ever had. I typically pay four to five dollars for a sandwich up on Lamar, granted this was much better quality. Maybe I'm just used to banh mi on the cheaper side. Would have given a 5/5 but the only downside to this was that the cottage fries that I ordered were just crispy round tater tots that didn't taste any different from the frozen ones you can get at HEB. Fries are pretty easy to make, and plenty of new restaurants in Austin have their own delicious take on them. Hopefully this place can stick around and make a good name for themselves and maybe even expand their menu soon.
small restaurant, with a small menu, but everything i've had has been great. good steam buns, good rice boxes. i will have to come back to try the pho, but the broth was very fragrant, so i have high hopes.
