Food has very good flavor. We recommend the Beef Pho, the cottage fries, and the chicken confit. Well priced too.
We love HEO.
Best bahn mi I've had in town. Flavour was on point. Bread was fresh. Killer work. I'll be back
Food was good. Pork was exceptionally good. Get it with the steam bun... It was way too much with the bahn mi bread style... The cashier? was extremely awkward and moody...? Found this place because of the reviews and was excited to go but he completely killed that new adventure vibe for us. Did I offend him? dont know.. but great food and great pork!!
Fresh and delicious! The beef and lemongrass Banh mi is tender and flavorful.
Had brisket pho. Really good!
I've been here a few times already and I have my favorites. Skip the pork belly bun and go straight to the lemongrass beef bun. I think pork belly is over-rated and it's simply dressed in hoisin sauce. My favorite is the turmeric fish rice box. You can see and taste the aroma of the turmeric fish. The rice is so different. It must have been soaked in garlic before cooking. I like it a lot. Their pickles have your Asian stables in addition to cauliflower. They also provide baked beets. Overall, the rice box option is pretty healthy. It will keep me coming back.
My fav. Lunch spot!
Consistently best Vietnamese food my wife and I have had in Austin and she's Vietnamese-American. Pho Please is also good on E. Riverside. Heo beef pho is great, the brisket isn't cheap and broth is delicious. Tumeric fish Bahn mi, pork belly bao and everything else we've had on the menu is great. They have a handful of veggie options. Their service is really good and the people that work there are nice and seem to enjoy working there.
Heo is my hero! My husband and I returned from a long Thanksgiving trip with a bonus tag-a-long: nasty colds! I wanted nothing more than a hot steaming bowl of pho to hang my head over, but didn't want to expose anyone else to our misery. Uncertain about how pho might travel, I quieted my apprehension and ordered 2 "bowls" to be delivered. And the heavens sang down upon me! ;-) Within 20 minutes a bag was delivered with 2 containers of broth, 2 containers of thinly sliced beautiful beef, thinly sliced white onion and rice noodles, all carefully packaged for travel. 2 baggies of fresh cilantro, thai basil, lime and sliced jalepenos were included. I easily popped the noodles in bowls, dumped the beef, noodles and onions over, added the broth, gave it a mircro-zap, added the herbs and VOILA! Aromas of lemongrass, anise and citrus wafted to my poor congested nose, delighting even my dulled senses. I swirled the pho and squeezed the lime over, anticipating relief. The restorative power came quickly and was undeniable! While we are still recovering 6 days later, I credit Heo's pho with giving us the fortitude to carry on. I'm anticipating many weekly visits to the Heo Eatery! (This is my first google review...it was that astonishing!)
Very modern Vietnamese taste to traditional dishes. The lemongrass beef sandwich was to die for and it comes with crispy tater tots. They provide great customer service and meals come out fresh and fast. Hole in the wall treasure for sure!
My favorite pho I’ve ever had!
Pho is solid for the broth. I typically like the more adventurous meets but the brisket and thin slices of beef hit the spot. I also got the tumeric fish banh mi. It was cooked perfectly. It had a good balance with all the fixings. I'd go back to try some of their other proteins.
Good vietnamese fusion. Fast and easy.
Some of the best food I’ve had in Austin! Very cute decor, lovely staff and delicious food. Great experience overall.
Has a small but rock-solid selection. This is my roommate's favorite lunch place for its excellent bahn mi. The staff is especially welcoming.
A small location but the food is really good...try the ribs
Really love this place! I'm from Minneapolis where I eat and grew up eating alot of pho and vietnamese cuisine. Heo Eatery's pho is awesome! So healing after a plane ride! I would definitely go back and recommend others to. The other items on the menu were also amazing in quality and quantity!
Good place for lunch, they served my food pretty quick.
So amazingly yummy! A quick and affordable meal was enough to get us here, but the food blew me away. I ate possibly the best roasted vegetables I have ever had—and that was just the side. I took their advice and ordered the fish rice dish and was not disappointed. Don’t miss this place. It’s also a great place to go before a Mac Theatre show, which is what we did.
