In a fisherman's area, there are a lot of seafood restaurants offering fresh seafood. We decided to visit this restaurant based on the reviews. The restaurant is right on the roadside and there is enough parking nearby, but may take time to find a good spot. We ordered a small clam chowder and garlic bread, fish tacos and crab sandwich. The family with us bought clam chowder, fish and chips, and a sandwich. There is indoor and outdoor seating and we sat outside and ate with a view! The clam chowder was rich and yummy. The small cup of chowder is filling and there are a lot of clam in a serving. The garlic bread we bought with the clam chowder was the best. It was toasted to perfection and the flavor was just on. Fish tacos was ok, but I did not like it much. I felt the soft tacos was filled with a lot of veggies and the fish was missing. The crab sandwich had a lot of shredded crab and it was tasty. The filling was rich and tasty. The restaurant seems to be famous for its fresh oysters. They told us there will be a 40 min wait time for oysters, and since we were in a hurry did not order it. We could see the chef cooking and plating the oysters.
This is a great little place to stop that serves fast seafood that is home cooked.
The place offers a fantastic variety of fresh food. I enjoyed dining here. The employees are always friendly, prices are affordable and the spot is always well organised.
Oysters were soo good fresh and right off the grill
Bodega Bay has so many promising restaurant choices. As we drove through town we saw several potential places to stop, but when we spotted the line out the door at Fisherman's Cove, we decided that was the place. We were not disappointed. Scallops were huge, tender and delicious. Po'Boy with oysters was yummy. The line moved quickly. We enjoyed the afternoon sun sitting outside watching the harbor seals socialize on the pier across the road.
Great menu selection & very fresh fish
I had their daily special Scallop Tacos. So good. Definitely a good place to eat.
Love them crab sandwiches yummy
They have the best clam chowder!
We drive three hours just to have their crab melt sandwiches and clam chowder. Doesn’t that say it all?
Excellent clam chowder and raw oysters, with friendly service in a casual setting.
I frequent this place from Berkeley for their chorizo butter oysters and food, can't speak about the fishing supplies, but I'm sure they're great. Seriously, if you're not putting chorizo on your oysters, are you even living (unless you're allergic to chorizo, which then please do not put it on your oysters because you would not be living!). The atmosphere is super relaxed, great spot to just escape the hustle and bustle of the daily grind. Great fried calamari as well, perfect amount of batter. And their chorizo crab nachos are to die for. Can be difficult to find parking at times, so plan accordingly.
Service was quick. Good portions. Oysters were 3 or 4s in size, not all even. Parking is tight. Unless you have mobility issues, park on the street.
Busy. Parking was hard to do.
The service is always prompt, fantastic atmosphere, very friendly staff members. Will return again when I get in town.
Oh man. Their oysters are amazing! Definitely get some of you visit. I also had their crab sandwich which was delicious, perfectly seasoned and sauced. I'll be back
Best Oysters you will ever have!!
This is a little dive place on the water but not even really a restaurant. There are shared tables and countertops where people just sit and wait for their food. To give you an idea, they also sell bait, tackle, lifevests and other items needed for being out on the water. You stand in line and place your order and then are given a number you take to where there is a place to sit. No real silverware or glassware or anything even remotely close. Paper cups and plastic is all you are getting in this place. But both my husband and I had barbecue oysters, two different types I had the chorizo and lemon butter. I honestly can’t remember what he had but we both absolutely loved the food. And we both had bowls, not cups, of clam chowder. I used to live in New England so I know clam chowder fairly well. Never tasted anything like this. Absolutely amazing! I have never tasted minced carrots and celery which seem to be raw to me that were dumped into the clam chowder before it was served. These were a little teeny specks of vegetables that were crunchy. I just loved the contrast between the creamy chowder and the crunchy veggies. And speaking of creamy, that’s what it was not clumpy. So often when I order clam chowder it is so thick with additives that it is almost like oatmeal. True clam chowder, in my opinion, should be creamy, not watery, but not oatmeal either. This place hit it out the park. Not cheap either. I think 4 barbecued oysters were $17, but worth every penny! Would go back anytime! Note: I did not comment on Service since there was no service!!!
Great food, staff, and location.
