Extremely helpful and knowledgeable staff. I stopped in tonight and asked about a particular bourbon (Old Grand Dad) which they do not carry. The older gentleman showed me online what the bottle looks like, should I ever spot the bottle in a different liquor store. I learned the difference between bonded and cask strength. This conversation was based on a bourbon they did not carry! Appreciative, I ended up buying a different bourbon (which I felt no pressure to buy). It's places like these that deserve repeat customers.
Friendly staff, very helpful.
Great selection, decent prices.
Super friendly and knowledgeable staff. Best prices in town, if you’ve ever looked up a spirit online, the service that lists prices from lowest to highest almost always has Michael Towne Wines and Spirits as the lowest. I’ve found some really great hard(-ish) to find stuff like Hillrock bourbon. Their prices are routinely double-digit percentages lower than the other “hipper” more boutique neighborhood spirits shops.
Helpful and knowledgeable about wines and spirits. They are very accommodating, and most days there is a tasting of one spirit or another. Solid selection of wines. And spirits.
A nice, no-nonsense wine and liquor shop. The staff is friendly and happy to help, or to leave you alone. You need to look for the bargains - their regular prices can be a little high, however if you buy 6 bottles of wine at once, they give 10% off, which makes it totally reasonable. Also, they have a frequent customer program where you get $10 off when you spend $500. So that 2% helps as well.
Amazing!! Great recs
Knowledgeable staff, neighborhood mainstay.
Good selection of wines and spirits, plus friendly staff. You won't go wrong there.
Great selection of wine and spirits at competitive prices. Helpful and friendly staff.
Great selection, priced beyond fair, and an incredibly knowledge staff.
Pretty good selection of wine...would recommend if you are in the neighborhood.
I don't know much about wine, but when I went to go buy some for a friend, one of the guys who worked there recommended this wine and said it was really good. Brought to my friend (who's really big on wines) and she said that I got duped. The wine was fairly new, and it wasn't something anyone should drink until it aged awhile. I had no clue, and still don't have a clue because I don't drink wine, but I do trust my friend because she knows her wine, so if she says I got duped, then I most definitely did. The guy seemed pretty nice though, so I never thought twice about the wine he recommended as I was in the process of buying one.
Very polite service. Also there are very good selection of wine.
Best prices I've found for the Heights.
Good selection, great guys working there. Nice local liquor store, just wish prices were cheaper, but they are on par with all of New York City
Lapin and I come here occasionally when we are in the area. The store is clean and organized. The personnel is always well to help and they offer free tastings. The prices are reasonable for the area. Be sure to join their loyalty program if you plan on visiting often. Lapin is a fan of the Wolffer Dry Rose Cider ($6 for 500ml)
Friendly neighborhood liquor store
Great selection. Place has been here for many years.
Great selection and variety of wines and liquor. Good price on Japanese whiskey and lots of Cabernet wines to taste.
