I ate here when I was three. I recall being a good boy.
Always good food and service at savutes. The airplane themed bar is great and Cindy is an excellent bartender.
The best steak and catfish.Love this place
Amazing service. I don't normally see service this good. They were very accommodating of a rather large group on a Friday night. It is 75ish years old and I feel like this place needs to be experienced by any ICT foodie just for the history. Now why they didn't get 5 stars...the food and the atmosphere. I ordered spaghetti and sausage. It came with a salad. The salad was just iceburg lettuce with a glob of mayonnaise with a few blue cheese crumbs mixed in. Nothing wrong with it, just not impressive or blue cheesy. The spaghetti wasn't drained well enough, or the sauce had separated between the kitchen and the table. I'm not sure. The sauce also taste like it was made palatable for small children and old people who don't care for excitement in their food. It was almost too sweet. The table bread was interesting. It was loaves of white and rye bread with butter. Not what I'd expect at an Italian restaurant. Now the desert. They killed that. I saw several different offerings at our table and they were very well received. Also I will say this. For what you pay there is plenty of food. As for the atmosphere, most of my complaints are about the age of the building and the tables and chairs that are probably older than I am. The table I sat at was very wobbly. The lighting is inconsistent, with bright spots and dark corners. The building itself was almost a maze of rooms. My last beef with the atmosphere was the garlic salt shakers on the table. They were mismatched store brand spice bottles. I have never seen this before at a restaurant. I will be going back at some point but I will probably be going for the steak, as those looked amazing.
Best chicken parm and homemade alfredo on the side hands down! Wow!
Long time customer. Have never had a complaint. Great steaks and try the fried chicken. Always fantastic service.
We go here because it is a family tradition. They are always kind and accommodate us and our crazy large family. Last time I was here I ordered the boiled ravioli and it was delicious. My husband had the manicotti and he enjoyed it as well. They can accommodate larger parties or if you would rather stop in alone or with one person you can eat at the bar or in the lounge area.
Great food. Excellent service. Very nice atmosphere. Family friendly. A real 10!
The food was good but there is better Italian in Wichita. However, the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Additionally the aviation atmosphere was quite unique and enjoyable. Prices were in line with what you would expect and reasonable.
My husband and I dined here in celebration of our anniversary. Our service was decent. The food was good. We both ordered T-Bones, my husband's had a good bit of gristle and mine was a little undercooked. Disappointing, but not a deal-breaker! I ordered Fries, which tasted like fresh-cut, homemade! We both really enjoyed the bread, also tasted like homemade Rye & Italian loaves. I am happy to have an opportunity to 'shop local' and support this Wichita gem and a local family!! Overall we had a good time and enjoyed ourselves and our dinner! We agreed to come again to try some Italian dishes next time. 🙂
Great aviation atmosphere. Super friendly staff. Decent food
Awesome steaks. Great Service. This place is a 10!! Atmosphere was laid back. Every thing was just delicious. Our son wants to order something Italian next time.
