Should be world famous, if it isn't already. Their fresh raspberry custard danish and is to die for. Sandwiches are top-notch, too. Great pit stop for travelers.
The food is always fresh! Best sandwich in town!
Kids like the danishes. Everything they sell is quality.
Always good food and service!
Everything is delicious!!! Nice open seating. Pleasant helpful staff.
Delicious sandwiches, salads, and pastries. I love the fresh breads
Best Zucchini bread anywhere. Love zucchini bread and not available many places. When traveling between Vegas and Nor Cal it is a must stop and purchase for me.
This place is almost always busy for a reason. The pastries are some of the best in town (the nougat-tallers, the cream-puffs, the danish, etc) and it's in one of the "iconic" locations in town. Though I haven't had the sandwiches I've heard they're all good too. And even on super busy times the service is always friendly and as fast as they can make it.
Best German Bakery in California! Period!
Best pretzel sticks and they have Beerocks!
I love this bakery
Best raost beef sandwich I've had. Delicious!
Fantastic place to get pastries and sandwiches. Try the bierocks!
GREAT bakery, worth the trip to Tehatchapi in itself. Best bearclaw ever!!
I would have given this place 5 stars if they did not have the very cheapest flimsiest fork ever made which made eating the wonderful salad almost impossible!! It was extremely frustrating. How about REAL metal utensils and plates??? Seriously. Save the landfill. It was so disappointing to eat such good food out of a plastic horrible container and with tiny plastic forks. This would be a small but very important change to your restaurant. Bring your own utensils anyone who is stopping here.
Well worth a visit, beautiful venue, friendly staff, great food and coffee as well. The tiramisu was a stunning creation!
Everything we ordered was awesome!! Definitely will be back!
Good sandwich, nice shaded outdoor patio.
Reuben was good as was the bratwurst kraut “sandwich” - my boys’ deli sandwiches were all screwed up condiment and pickle-wise but they ate them with the mustard and pickles because road trip - the brotchen were fabulous and next time heading through I’d buy at least 100 nom nom nom - we also had pretzels and pretzel sticks to snack on - I wanted to try every pastry but road trip - mess! We got our stuff to go as we already lost 20 minutes waiting for the sandwiches - I’d return, probably stick to items we could take immediately
