Great fun and great service. Oysters were incredible
6 Stars. Love it for a hundred + reasons.
Food was amazing witb a menu for everyone. It's not cheap but you didnt select this place for its price. The interior is rustic and the dress code is whatever you choose. Many were in hawiian shirts and others in ties. Staff was attentive and met our wvery need!
Met long-time friends for dinner at our most consistently enjoyable restaurant. Portions are adequate enough to share and the bar pours a nice martini. We have been eating here since it opened and are never disappointed. We shared the salad bowl and requested extra croutons, of course, and used all the blue cheese dressing. We also had the petrale sole almandine and fresh veggies. Great meal.
Risty is such a popular destiny for diners in Palos Verdes and beyond, but why? Many people think the food is just average, too expensive, but they keep on coming. Here's why we keep on coming: Risty is a friendly, warm, restaurant that promotes anticipation. The decor is fun, the wait staff is attentive and helpful, and the food is good for what it is. Portions are adequate and the old-fashioned surf and turf style brings back fond memories and is actually tasty. Combinations are perfect. Classic food that could be called comfort food. The bar is inviting, with good snacks, clam chowder and the like, good music by live people. From the time a guest is greeted to the end of the meal, it is an experience. Great place to meet friends, no one rushes you to finish and leave, the view is great, and that's why we will continue to patronize Admiral Risty! I think I'll make a reservation today!
My first experience at Admiral Risty's. Food was very good. The service was impeccable. Only downside was we felt a little squeezed in a tight aisle next to a waiter service station.
Love this place for sure good food
Admiral Risty has been around for many, many years and is consistently serving delicious, quality food, friendly service and incredible views! A little old fashioned, noting too fancy and yet we visit quite often and are never disappointed. Also, great Sunday Brunch that starts with the most incredible fruit cup.
Top drawer. Good service. Good food. Good ambience. 80% full.
The best service and the food is excellent, one of my favorites is the sea bass almadin with mashed potatoes and vegetables.
Seems like going back in time here. Very good food, a lot of history and long time employees adds to the uniqueness of this restaurant. Definitely worth a visit if the location is convenient
Expensive, romantic, beautiful, and excellent food and service!
Took some friends visiting from Florida. We had a window seat. Awesome meals enjoyed by all. Do make a reservation.
The Admiral Risty has been in Rancho Palos Verdes for decades. And it has consistently provided excellent food and service for all of this time. With sweeping Pacific Ocean views, a lively bar, and awesome food and service, this is the place to go. I've been coming here for more decades than I care to remember and have not been disappointed. Recently brought a friend here for some good fresh fish. I had the poached salmon and my guest had the grilled mahi mahi. Both were excellent and came with a huge baked potato and superb clam chowder. Service, as always, was exceptional. If you find yourself “on the hill,†come by the Admiral for good drinks, unequaled view, excellent food, and great service. You will not be disappointed!
Great food. Great view.
Classic seafood restaurant, excellent food and service and the best view at sunset. All seafood is at its best here.
Everything was good: food, service, ambiance. particularly enjoyed that the noise level was very conducive to having a conversation with your dinner partner. Also you can request a view and see a spectacular sunset. If you're a "foodie" and need to have everything be "kind of now, kind of wow", this wouldn't be the place for you. Take your Mom or your family, not a new girlfriend.
Always top notch in every way.
Sunday night in PV doesn't offer a large selection of places to eat. However, this was a good restaurant. Apparently it has been open for 60 years. Has a nice nautical feel. The menu has a wide variety. I ate sea bass- broiled. A few more spices would have been nice, but overall a good meal.
